he is only partly right. We kill them because a lot of greedy psychopaths make a lot of money supplying the means to kill them. And, we kill them because of something called the Oded Yinon Plan that came out of the 70s war in the ME where many of the Israelis realized that Israel could easily be overrun by their enemies if they would only put down their differences and unite.
If you do a search for the Oded Yinon Plan, I suggest DuckDuckGo. I didn't do the search now - I read this a very long time ago, and it cleared up our involvement in the ME a whole lot.

I find myself grateful for being born when I was (1945) and where I was born. Never before did ordinary people have it so good - and never since either. It was a special time and place to be born, IMHO. I have always valued personal liberty - and, with it, of course - personal accountability. We do not appear to be in a good part of the cycle. We are rotting systemically - not unlike Rome did that Plutarch wrote about. Governments always evolve this way - especially Republics, it is said. Simply from the sheer amount of money that flows through it, Washington has to be the most corrupt city on earth. And the US Senate is the center of corruption in Washington. As I have said many times - corruption is not so much a feature of the system as it is that corruption IS the system. Now add incompetence to the equation, and you have it - IMHO.
This is difficult to write, actually, as I normally want to be an optimistic person. If there was one lasting accomplishment of Donald Trump, again, IMHO, it was that he pulled back the curtain and gave us a glimpse of what was really going on in the background. Today, it seems that the corruption has been so bad for so long that they don't even care if we can see it.

Especially on Trump being in office, exposing the corruption from those that were out to eliminate him because he wasn't part of the politics that defines both parties. Both sides play by the same corrupt rules.

The saddest part of it all is that Trump ended up being the most corrupt and dishonest of all in the end.....trying to overturn an election with fraud that he clearly lost by every single authentic measure, recount and investigation and even to this very day, is still insisting on The Big Lie to blatantly mislead 10's of millions of patriotic Americans that want to believe in him.
Mike, I think you are being very naive in assuming that if you have not seen anything "official" that proves election fraud, it does not exist. I don't have time right now to look into this very much, but the powers lined up to make sure Donald Trump could never win the last election appeared to me to be a list of most of the powerful people of not only this country, but much of the world. I just read this - and it makes me wonder:

I also saw an interview with Justice Breyer just recently. When asked why SCOTUS didn't hear any case about the election, just flippantly laughed and said that he guessed it was because they didn't bring a case. He went on to, again, flippantly, say that there were not enough votes to hear it. He did not even take the question seriously. IMHO, they might be responsible for doing harm to this country like no one else. Fair and honest elections are essential to the way our country works. Not only that, but the perception of honest and fair elections are essential. Instead we hear reports about the Chief Justice screaming at the rest that they would NOT hear any case concerning the election.
Anyway, as I say, I don't have the time - or the energy anymore - to dig into this once again. I do feel that you have underestimated the powers that desperately needed Donald Trump out of the WH. My personal guess is that we may just never again have anything like an honest and fair and transparent election. There is too much at stake for the powerful to leave anything like that to chance.
I was a life-long Democrat - until they left me. I didn't change - they did. This monster from the Left Side just won't die, will it? No matter how many times it has left destruction in its wake, it keeps on coming. It used to be the DFL - the Democratic Farmer-Labor Party. No longer. Now, rather than represent the working men of this country, they just want power - absolute power. I was a Democrat for one main reason - they were the only ones who tried to stand up to Big Money. That idea is a joke today.
I'm afraid that the only way to hold a fair election today would be to do like we forced Iraq to do it - dip our fingers in the ink.

You're late to the party cfdr, I actually DID have time to look into it. Hundreds of hours and posts in fact and I'll be glad to go back and post some of the many dozens for you.
I challenged everybody here to show the fraud and as it turns out, metmike found 10 times more legit fraud from prior elections than everybody else here combined could find from the 2020 election.
And the response was always like yours, that I'm being naive or that they didn't have the time to show me the fruad or that is was there but we just didn't have the right investigations but there was tons of theoretical and speculative fraud.
So I will give you the chance to make good on your claim of election fraud. It's been 10 months now, cfdr. Plenty of time for you and everybody else to show legit, provable fraud. Not theoretical or speculative or likely fraud REAL fraud please.
I'm looking forward to your legit evidence.
Here's a review of some of the threads where this was discussed in detail to help you out, since you were not here. You are welcome to point out anything that you think that I got wrong in any of these posts/threads and I will be happy to adjust or change it if you can show why its wrong.
Again, I acknowledge that there was SOME fraud, like in every election and showed 10 times more of that kind of local fraud from previous elections(that surely there was this time too) than everybody combined here, so please don't mischaracterize my position as claiming there was no fraud.
What I need to see is the proof of systemic fraud theorized by republicans that made a difference in the results of the election for entire states.

That is what alot of people have totally wrong.
They assume because there was corruption in realms A and B, that means there must have been corruption in totally different realm C with completely different people.
All the evidence says crystal clearly that Trump lost and considering how unpopular he was, it was totally expected.
