Why are there no consequences

I don't have any social media contacts

I don't follow anybody, I just don't do that

But I do read various comments from ordinary folks, from various web sites

It seems the american public by and large are asking why nobody pays the price for alleged lying, cheating or even felony crimes. Most are asking why Barr and Durham doesn't launch an investigation or call a grand jury. At least the questions and answers would be under oath and subject to penalty if false statements

I think the american people are losing faith in the justice system. Everybody in america has an opinion but nobody seems to want to investigate with witness under oath, to lift the veil of secrecy

That leaves the american people in the dark and eventually not trusting anybody or the system of justice

To put it another way, many people are asking why so many leaders in gov't seem to walk around with a "Get out of jail card" in their back pocket, which they don't even have to use

Most great empires in history did not fail from defeat by another power [although some did] but the majority failed from division and treachery from within, which weakened their ability to fight foreign invaders

good questions....

you wrote... "I think the american people are losing faith in the justice system"

I lost that faith in 2016, when FBI Comey told Congress that Hillary Clinton had lied multiple times during an FBI investigation, and then there was no punishment.

If I am not mistaken, many of former close friends of Trump are in jail because of similar violations.

There seem to be 2 different justice systems in operation, depending on what political affiliation the accused has

And this does not only apply to politicians... it's the same for regular folks.

If I broke into a Best Buy store at night and stole a ballpoint pen, I would go to jail. On the other hand... when BLM looters break into a Gucci store on 5th Avenue and leave with thousand dollars worth of merchandise they would not even be arrested. And should they be arrested, there are already large sums of bail money waiting, endorsed and supported by Kamala Harris, that would make sure that the looters get bailed out quickly.

Watched Biden rally in MN earlier.

Wearing dark sunglasses, reading everything from a teleprompter and slurring half of his words.

This was on FOX news. Good for them in showing the Biden rally.

CNN would never consider showing Trumps rally.

However, in watching what I just described, I was thinking that they might not really be showing Biden to fair or balanced. They probably want you to think that but while I was watching Biden for at least 10 minutes, I was thinking to myself, OMG, this struggling old man is going to be our next president!

He is having a hard time reading from a teleprompter.

It's possible that being outside in the cold might have affected him.

One shocker was him saying that as president he is going to hold China accountable for the Coronavirus and that Trump has not done that.

WTHeck!

I must have got that wrong or Biden accidentally stated it wrong because the position has always been that the virus is Trumps fault and Trump is trying to blame it all on China and its not China's fault.

Thats not to say that Trump doesn;t veer from the truth with his rallies. He constantly obliterates the truth the entire time.

But the "not Donald Trump" choice is having a hard time showing us that he is any bit more truthful than the real Donald Trump.

The objective is to shine in areas of weakness for Trump.

Lying about fracking, the energy policies, the Green New Fairy Tale, Climate Change, China, Russia, Hunter,  COVID and all sorts of things must be the strategy to get elected president.

World's Biggest Liar

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World%27s_Biggest_Liar

World's Biggest Liar is an annual competition for telling lies, held in Cumbria, England.  Competitors from around the world have five minutes to tell the biggest and most convincing lie they can.[1] Competition rules bar the use of props or scripts.  Politicians and lawyers are not allowed to enter the competition, because "they are judged to be too skilled at telling porkies".[2]

Wayne,

Now to seriously answer your outstanding question/point.

From 2016 to 2018, we went thru the biggest hoax in history(outside of the fake climate crisis) with the bogus Mueller investigation.

The American public was told non stop and half convinced by the MSM and democrats for 2.5 years that President Trump was a foreign asset of Russia's and a traitor.

35 million dollars was spent and hundreds of people were interviewed and Mueller created some crimes FROM his investigation(got a few people to lie) to make it appear that is was justified.

Trump was totally innocent and they knew that very early on........but continued anyway and dragged it out for years because the absence of the truth, allowed blatant lies to permeate and define the political climate for long enough.............to convince people of what they wanted to convince them of with regards to Trump............so that when the truth finally came out 2.5 year later..........people didn't believe it.

Thats the way it usually is with cognitive bias and they knew that.

Once you are convinced of something, even if its a lie..........it takes takes 10 times more information to convince you that you are wrong(often that is still not enough), even when what you believe is  a lie and the new information is the truth.

This is human nature.

The gatekeepers took advantage of basic psychology and human nature to poison our minds with lies about Russia and President Trump, which remain powerful in the American psyche today.

Proof of that was when Hunter Bidens laptop and the information was discovered. Absolutely legit and verified. One of the biggest political scandals showing corruption of the Biden family in the last decade at least.

What was the response?

Telling us its just Russia again trying to influence the election to get Trump elected, just like they did last time.

Tapping into the psyche of minds brainwashed during the fraudulent Mueller investigation that left permanent fake news believing impressions forever in many minds when it comes to Russia and Trump.

Zero evidence that Russia has had anything to do with the laptop, all evidence telling us the exact opposite..........that its legit.

We have been told recently too, that Russia is trying to influence the election again in favor of Trump.

If the Mueller investigation had never existed, which would have been the case if Hillary Clinton had won, so if Hillary Clinton had won, this Russia, Russia, Russia fake news would never have existed.

Same exact everything. Same exact Russia. Same exact election but Clinton pulling off a slim win.

In that case, No Mueller investigation. No Russia hoax with Trump narrative for 2.5 years, no fake news about Russia since then. No blaming Russia right now for the  Biden corruption. No blaming Russia right now for trying to get Trump elected.

People would be laughing at such statements.........but they are believed because they will believe the lie over the truth, sometimes forever.......once you convince them of the lie.

I will never forget the statement from mcfarmer, a liberal here(not mcfarm) that he was glad they did the investigation after the results completely exonerated Trump from ties with Russia.

He said that it gave  him confidence that Trump was innocent but the only way to really know was to have the investigation and felt that other people would feel the same way then and we could now get on with life knowing that.

Mcfarmer was a real good man and very honest too. Very intelligent too.

But extraordinarily naive about why the investigation was done and how it was done.

Never was legit or had anything to do with a sincere/authentic desire to be fair or seek justice for crimes committed.

They knew there were no crimes early on.

I'll try to find that post from the Spring of 2018, which I can't get right now without figuring out how to do a creative search.

If Trump loses next week, and the chances are good that he will, all these scandals will disappear.  The end game has always been to ignore that pesky electorate and get Trump out of office.  I've been saying this for years, here and to my liberal friends, and I've posed the question "Will this finally convince you of what type of people you are supporting?   That they are a serious threat to our way of life?"

Throughout history,  there are many examples where people have accepted injustice as long as it is injustice aimed at "them".  The problem is, the list of "them" continues to expand until it includes just about everyone. By the by,  it's no concidence that these scenarious have played out, almost exclusviely, in totalitarian leftist regimes. We can crtainly include Nazi Germany as the only exception that comes to mind, but remember, their ecostructure was socialist.

Anyway, back to my original question about how the scandals ending will impact liberals..

I suspect they will not even notice. They'll be too busy focusing on the next "Corrupt, Stupid, NAZI Racist" be it Bush, Romney, Trump, (Insert name here).  Only the name of the target changes, the epithets and rhetoric remain the same.
