I try not to get into debates/arguments with people that will defend their position, no matter what because they have to be right.
I'll let them use their words and express themselves.
I CAN do 3 things.
1. Nothing
2. Agree with them, especially if they have the evidence.
3. SHOW THE FACTS that prove they are wrong
4. In addition to #3, analyze why they IGNORE THE FACTS
In this case, I picked #3 and here comes #4.
#4. mcfarm watches Fox News, where they convince viewers that people who disagree with Trump/MAGA are the enemy. This creates a mindset of mistrust of EVERYTHING that their enemy expresses. This also creates hatred for these enemies.
When we feel that way about other people, we treat them different than people in THE SAME TRIBE AS US.
My psychoanalysis of mcfarm here is that his position to insist something about me that he wants to believe in is based on the above.
Multiply this by the millions of people that watch Fox news and you have a toxic impact on all their lives and how they interact with people who disagree politically with them.
My suggestions, to counter this mentality are this:
