Before last night, I had been thinking that Donald Trump was most likely just completely delusional with regards to insisting the election was stolen from him and he really believed it.
However, the evidence from last night's presentation strongly suggests that he does know that he lost and is manufacturing lies to convince people otherwise.
The stuff that he stated last night about China just makes no sense and if he REALLY believed it, there would be major sanctions against China. Here's the thing with all these self serving actions from a president that is very delusional in many ways (with his delusions of grandeurism mental illness).

The system is very protected from Donald Trump's ridiculous, conspiracy theory rhetoric.
Having this position and using it to steal the intelligence of American's and to decimate our confidence in the bedrock of the American democracy is already disqualifying for being the president of the United States.
The extreme levels to which he is taking it makes removing Donald Trump from office, by a Grand Canyon wide margin, the most important thing that can be done to help this country succeed.

This behavior by Donald Trump is not limited to his war in Iran. It defines who he is in every realm. He is truly a diabolical man wrecking the world and decimating the reputation of the United States.
His 2 progressive mental illnesses(delusions of grandeur and dementia) are worsening his decision making with time. As the most powerful man in the world, by an order of magnitude he is the most dangerous man in the world and is doing MUCH more damage to his own country than any American in 250 years. The amount of damage is greatest to American's best served by the D party but with profound irony, the entity receiving the most profound damage of all.......is the party of Donald Trump. The Republican Party. Damage like this is always measured on election nights.
Now, Donald Trump, like he always does wants to avoid real world accountability and consequences for wrecking the world around him. His MO is to abuse his corrupt power to lie, steal and cheat his way forward. His plan is to take control of our voting and election process BEFORE the election to win as many elections as possible in November by cheating. In 2020/2021 he didn't do this until AFTER he lost the election to Joe Biden and he has never stopped, almost 6 years later.
Ironically, every single one of his actions are to do exactly what he claims to be fighting........cheating, lying and stealing elections. The most ironic thing is that Christian's were all raised to honor the truth above all else(I went to Catholic School for 12 years), yet the vast majority of MAGA members, are Christian's following the person that violates that every hour of every day. He violates every core principle of Christianity, yet these same followers, flip a switch in their heads, go to church on Sunday's and pretend it's compatible with following Donald Trump's religion in the rest of their lives.
But this is 2026! Unlike 1936, we all have access to 1 trillion times more information to fact check everything. But here's the take home point. Human beings have extreme cognitive/confirmation bias. Once we think that we know something, we process all new ."information in a way that supports what we think that we know and reject things that contradict what we think that we know. We don't fact check things that line up with what we want to believe. We only pay attention to discussions that tell us what we want to believe. That impacts EVERYBODY, including me.
Unless you make a regular effort to practice the scientific method (questioning what you believe and considering the validity of what you don't believe in) human cognitive bias takes over.
Historic, charismatic leaders all understand this principle. In fact, most living today know it and use it. They KNOW what people want to believe and tell them those things in order to control them.
In the age of technology, Truth Social and Fox in the evenings are perfect examples of how that technology can be used to steal the intelligence and brainwash millions or readers/viewers. Fox is #1 in the ratings for those time periods and it results in blockbuster profits. Clearly, it's working for them. Fox is also Donald Trump's mouthpiece and serves as his main high priest in MAGA religion.

Donald Trump's conditions, his objectives and how he is doing it are not even debatable. The main questions relate to how effective he is at doing it. The believers of anything in his speech on Thursday shows that it still works with MAGA.
However, I think it backfired badly because the vast, VAST majority of sources called him out and exposed him.........which make him look even worse on this topic. But one of Donald Trump's mental illnesses is his delusions of grandeur. He thinks that EVERYBODY should believe his lies because he is so clever and omnipotent. He thinks that if he just calls entities that debunk his lies "fake news" and Fox news backs him up, that it will work. Yes, for MAGA.
He counts on the morally bankrupt Rs in Congress that fear him and enable him, to continue to support him because their political power trumps everything else. He has been exactly right on that.

I've been 99% confident that the D's in the House would impeach Donald Trump but it just occurred to me that Donald Trump has been the biggest gift to the D party in its history and he gives more and more with time.
Impeaching and removing him would put a sane President Vance in charge and start the healing for the R party, which is why I think there will be Rs that vote for impeachment.
Keeping Trump in office thru his 2nd term would actually provide the best results for the Ds in the 2028 election. However, I think the outraged D voters that elect the new D majority in the House are doing it with expectations that those Ds will STOP Donald Trump anyway they can. We can all hope that 15-16 Rs in the Senate want to finally rid their party of the worst president and most corrupt and least qualified in history by a galactically wide margin.
