Donald Trump compared to George Washington

Donald Trump constantly compares himself to George Washington, Abraham Lincoln(Honest Abe) and Ronald Reagan(that he claims falsely to have liked him-despite the fact of the opposite being the truth back in the 1980's when Donald Trump was a democrat).

With our nations 250th birthday being here, lets do an objective analysis to see how Donald Trump actually compares to George Washington.

Remember the WWJD(What Would Jesus Do)  bracelets?

Let's use a similar mentality with George Washington, our nations father and apply the question. WWGD? (What Would George Do)?  to the many actions and words of our current president,  Donald Trump since he so desperately wants us to believe they belong next to each other in history.

MS NOW’s @ariellehixson is on the scene where massive new banners of President Trump and President George Washington have been hung side by side at the Department of the Interior., #news #trump #dc

We all know the "story" that was told about George Washington chopping down the cherry tree as a child and admitting to doing it afterwards, despite getting into trouble for it because honesty and integrity mattered the most to him and those that believed in him.

Turns out that this story was made up but it was made up to illustrate the importance of honesty in the days of George Washington. Honestly for our president. Honesty for our politicians.

“THE IMPORTANCE OF TRUTH”: GEORGE WASHINGTON CHERRY TREE MYTH TEXTILE, LIKELY PRODUCED IN GERMANTOWN [PHILADELPHIA], BY THE GERMANTOWN PRINT WORKS, WITH VERSE FIRST PUBLISHED IN 1806 IN A BIOGRAPHY OF WASHINGTON (5TH EDITION) BY PARSON WEEMS 1759-1825); COPPER ENGRAVED ON COTTON, ONE OF THREE KNOWN EXAMPLES, THE ONLY ONE IN BLUE AND THE ONLY EXAMPLE IN PRIVATE HANDS

How does Donald Trump match up?

False or misleading statements by Donald Trump

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_or_misleading_statements_by_Donald_Trump

Fact-checkers from The Washington Post[1] (top, monthly), the Toronto Star[2] and CNN[3][4] (bottom, weekly) compiled data on "false or misleading claims" and "false claims", respectively. The peaks corresponded in late 2018 to the midterm elections, in late 2019 to his impeachment inquiry, and in late 2020 to the presidential election. The Post reported 30,573 false or misleading claims in four years,[1] an average of more than 20.9 per day.

George Washington was known in the cherry tree story to say "I cannot tell a lie!"

Donald Trump is shown above as "He cannot tell the TRUTH" which is the diametrically opposed polar opposite of this key character trait that makes George Washington one of our most respected presidents.

So the answer to  WWGD?, is the opposite of what Donald Trump does.

George Washington is known as our nations greatest general. Leading our county's first military.

The stories, accomplishments, leadership skills, brilliant strategies and victories fill many history books and he deserves this recognition. His military career also featured plenty of painful losses and lessons that he learned.

Again, there are many books filled with the details of his incredibly vast military service to this country, especially as the top general.

How about Donald Trump's military service?

Donald Trump avoided the military draft 5 times, but it wasn't uncommon for young men from influential families to do so during the Vietnam War

https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-avoided-the-military-draft-which-was-common-at-the-time-vietnam-war-2018-12

+++++++++++++++++

Let's be honest here. The Vietnam War was a completely different deal than what George Washington faced. Muhammed Ali is considered a hero for refusing to be drafted and using his position to speak out against the ethical violations of the Vietnam War at tremendous cost to his career(he could have been drafted and accepted a non battlefield position but refused because " I ain't got no quarrel with those Viet Cong").

Regardless, Donald Trump, unlike so many of our patriotic presidents that served bravely in  our military, many risking their lives, instead skipped out on military service using fake bone spurs.

However, MUCH, MUCH worse, Donald Trump had the audacity to attack a decorated war hero with personal attacks for his life risking, dedication and service in the military.

Disagree with John McCain all you want but NEVER denigrate his patriotic service to the US military!!!

The awful reality that Donald Trump’s repeated attacks on John McCain prove

WWGD?

George Washington did the diametrically opposed polar opposite of what Donald Trump did in this realm too.

Then, after profoundly miscalculating, Donald Trump lost control of the Strait of Hormuz and caused a global energy crisis. He ended up having to grant Iran their wish list to get the Strait open again. One of the most embarrassing strategic military blunder in US history!!!

How about George Washington?  Let's just use this example to demonstrate the stark contrast.

American Revolutionary War

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Revolutionary_War

The American Revolutionary War (April 19, 1775 – September 3, 1783), also known as the Revolutionary War or American War of Independence or simply the American Revolution, was the armed conflict that comprised the final eight years of the broader American Revolution, in which American Patriot forces organized as the Continental Army and commanded by George Washington defeated the British Army. The conflict was fought in North America, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic Ocean. The war's outcome seemed uncertain for most of the war, but Washington and the Continental Army's decisive victory in the Siege of Yorktown in 1781 led King George III and the Kingdom of Great Britain to negotiate an end to the war. In 1783, in the Treaty of Paris, the British monarchy acknowledged the independence of the Thirteen Colonies, leading to the establishment of the United States as an independent and sovereign nation.

George Washington clearly demonstrated an America First policy in every way, shape and form in order to create a United States.

Donald Trump started an unproved, unjustified illegal war to FOLLOW THE LEADER OF A FOREIGN country and because he thought it would make himself an historical legend with an easy military victory by ABUSING OUR MILITARY AND SOLDIERS for his personal agenda.

George Washington served on the battlefields with his soldiers. He respected them and used coherent planning and brilliant strategies that were NOT based on making George Washington a hero or historical legend.

That came from him actually earning it.

George Washington's objective was the diametrically opposed, polar opposite of this. In fact, this defines the difference between these 2 presidents like no other.

George Washington's objective, which he accomplished was to FREE us from the colonialism of England. Donald Trump's objectives are to perpetrate the same colonialism on other countries that the United States became a nation BY DEFEATING!!!!

AI Overview

colonialism/kəˈlōnyəˌlizəm/Colonialism is the practice of one nation exerting political, social, and economic control over another territory and its people. It typically involves establishing settlements, exploiting the region's resources and labor for the colonizer's benefit, and imposing the dominant power's culture, language, and institutions upon the native population

I'll repeat this again. The United States Under George Washington, ESCAPED from the authoritarian leadership of the Kings that controlled us before we defeated them. Donald Trump wants to practice the opposite with HIM being the King.

American Revolutionary War

It's the people in our country protesting against Donald Trump for behaving exactly the way that led to our country REVOLTING AGAINST THE KINGS OF ENGLAND and in fact is the reason that tomorrow marks the 250th anniversary of our independence.

Our country is celebrating the diametrically opposed, polar opposite mentality of Donald Trump's leadership.
