A young girl who escaped from North Korea, is now here in the US, studying at Columbia University

She is shocked to see what “wokeness’ is doing to the young people in the US

She thought, in that university they would teach you how think critically, but, instead, they “force you to think the way they want you to think”…. very similar to North Korea.

She says, at this university they teach you to dislike the USA.

"The lack of interest in your post speaks volumes"

Differences in Conservative and Liberal Brains

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/40697/

Interesting too, that almost all fields of science are dominated by people with an extreme liberal bias.  Climate science is no exception. They are obviously well educated which is why progressive activists are twice as likely to have a higher education. They have a strong presence in many realms that provide opportunities for them to have the power to influence the belief system of others.

College professors for instance.............very VERY liberal.

The problem with all those liberal professors

https://www.chicagotribune.com/opinion/commentary/ct-perspec-professors-liberal-teaching-students-colleges-universities-0925-story.html

In recent years, concern has grown over what many people see as a left-of-center political bias at colleges and universities. A few months ago, Mitchell Langbert, an associate professor of business at Brooklyn College, published a study of the political affiliations of faculty members at 51 of the 66 liberal-arts colleges ranked highest by U.S. News in 2017. The findings are eye-popping (even if they do not come as a great surprise to many people in academia).

Democrats dominate most fields. In religion, Langbert’s survey found that the ratio of Democrats to Republicans is 70 to 1. In music, it is 33 to 1. In biology, it is 21 to 1. In philosophy, history and psychology, it is 17 to 1. In political science, it is 8 to 1.

The gap is narrower in science and engineering. In physics, economics and mathematics, the ratio is about 6 to 1. In chemistry, it is 5 to 1, and in engineering, it is just 1.6 to 1. Still, Lambert found no field in which Republicans are more numerous than Democrats.

metmike: Our college campuses have become the perfect environment for indoctrination into far left ideologies via biased mentors that represent their 1 sided views only.   This study quantifies the disparity with evidence in the form of actual numbers. WOW!

With the exception of engineering, they are mind boggling. Some teach in areas and ways that their political affiliation would never be a factor. However, sometimes it is and it's almost always pushing an extreme left agenda.

It's no surprise that those with a college education are twice as likely to be progressive activists.

Here are the results of that study below.

Homogenous: The Political Affiliations of Elite Liberal Arts College Faculty

https://www.nas.org/academic-questions/31/2/homogenous_the_political_affiliations_of_elite_liberal_arts_college_faculty

Figure 2 gives a picture of how the broad liberal arts fields compare with respect to political affiliation. The professional field has the least extreme (but still unbalanced) D:R ratio while ideologically rooted interdisciplinary studies has the most extreme. The hard sciences are more balanced than the social sciences and the humanities.

Figure 2
Number of Democratic Faculty Members for Every Republican in Five Broad Fields
Indeed, faculty political affiliations at 39 percent of the colleges in my sample are Republican free—having zero Republicans. The political registration in most of the remaining 61 percent, with a few important exceptions, is slightly more than zero percent but nevertheless absurdly skewed against Republican affiliation and in favor of Democratic affiliation. Thus, 78.2 percent of the academic departments in my sample have either zero Republicans, or so few as to make no difference.

Progressive Activists

https://hiddentribes.us/profiles/progressive-activists

Main concerns

Climate Change, Inequality, Poverty

Compared to the average American:

  • More than twice as likely to list politics as a hobby (73 percent v. 35 percent)
  • Almost three times more likely to be “ashamed to be an American” (69 percent v. 24 percent)
  • Twice as likely to have completed college (59 percent v. 29 percent)
  • They have an outsized role in public debates, even though they comprise a small portion of the total population, about one in 12 Americans

It's estimated that 50% or more of the mainstream media are progressive activists, 6+ times higher than the general population. This makes sense. It's an ideal profession that allows them to accomplish their "change the world" objectives.  Thanks to "freedom of the press" they are able to communicate their ideologies and impose their belief system on others with impunity, even when they go from reporting to distorting the news for political agenda.

And the brainwash goes far beyond colleges.

Our media on both sides push false narratives.

The side that has won the battle and is imposing their ideologies/agenda, after Trump helped unite them is the side that has us well on our way towards the cultural revolution.

The fake climate crisis is part of this cultural revolution and conversion to global and US socialism as we use a new economic and social model, ridding ourselves of the past heros, symbols and behavior.

When seeing the links below, you might think "c'mon metmike, we're tired of climate blah, blah, blah constantly being brought up in so many threads"

The fact is, the Climate Accord will do nothing for the climate. It's all about the global socialism and imposing the cultural revolution.............just like many of the key principles are being taught/applied at our institutions of higher education.

This is the BEST place imagineable for indoctrinating our young bright people.......capturing and programming their minds with this ideology/belief system.

Hi Mike

You said that included me with a bit of tongue in check [I think]

I did not respond as I thought this was strictly an americian issue this girl recognized

In Canada you will find liberal universities but most/many teach the sciences which is hard to have a liberal slant

My niece did her political science Ph'D thesis about the Canadian Red Cross with reference to the entire Red Cross with no politics that I could see. I did get a summary

Our media for the most part does not take a right/left position

We have our political disagreements but mostly because we are so spread out, different regions have different priorities, such as oil in Alberta and fishing stocks in Nova Scotia

If we have the thought police I think it would be about mask mandates

I am vaccinated twice and my life hasn't changed one bit. I still have to wear this stupid mask inside any store.

So far you folks haven't tried to invade our southern border so that is a non issue

So you see Mike

We don't have as many problems as you folks do and I think this girl was talking about you folks

We do tend to look at our telephone way too much

It is raining here. Have been under yellow on the radar since 6 o'clock which is when I looked outside. Looking back, had tons of green which meant zero rain, when I went to the bath room at 4 o'clock.

Did not start to rain until 8 o'clock and we might get 1/10" if we are lucky. At least we still have a drizzzle out side 2 hrs later. Enough to shut down the irrigation and save the pond water

Most yrs this system would have been 1-2 inches of rain.
