Lets start this one off by stressing how despicable of a war crime it is for the United States to be targeting desalination plants in a desert country that uses them for their vital drinking water supplies for 90 million people.
This obliterates any false narratives from Donald Trump about doing this for the Iranian people.
As if the Iranian people will be dumb enough to blame it on their leadership (“Donald Trump is killing us, bombing our cities and destroying our drinking water supplies because he cares about us so much”)
That works best in MAGA world and Military-Industrial-Political complex, fairy tale land.
Neither of which are stealing the intelligence of Iranian citizens, literally living in the real world being decimated by 2 rogue countries ruled by a couple of deranged, anti humanity psychopaths.

It will only happen via impeachment, which will start with the House doing an impeachment investigation once they have the votes.

I've been intentionally NOT posting as much as I should to recognize the loss of 7 lives of our brave patriotic soldiers.
I subconsciously didn't want to use those soldiers to bolster my political anti Iran war views but see now, that it was probably an oversight.

Iran had agreed to draw down their supplies of enriched uranium, exactly as Donald Trump claimed he was demanding. A peace agreement was inevitable. All it needed was for Donald Trump to agree to HIS OWN DEMANDS!!!!!

Oil is a globally traded commodity. We can't set the price in the US just because we produce a great deal of it.
Also, we produce more light, sweet/low sulfur oil than we need and are exporters but don't produce enough heavy, sour/high sulfur so we import some of that, mainly from Canada and Mexico.
Regardless, any place with much higher prices will attract supply from places with much lower prices on a global scale. If the US would have put a limit on the price of oil in the US at $70 for instance to control the price.........the oil companies would just ship our oil to places where they can get $100 to make a huge profit and it would create a severe shortage here and then guess what?
If the price limits were taken off and allowed our shortage to follow the laws of supply and demand, the short supplies would cause our price to go UP to attract more supplies which would be needed to fix the shortage.
If prices remained government fixed at $70 in the US with the rest of the world at $100, then the shortage would get worse and worse.
We should note that when Donald Trump announced the huge release of SPR oil, the price went UP $6 quickly after that. The problem is NOT a shortage of oil in the United States that can be fixed with more US oil. The problem is a GLOBAL one with 20% of the GLOBAL oil coming out of the straits of Hormuz. This is setting the GLOBAL price of oil and regardless of how much we have the GLOBAL price is not determined by US oil fundamentals.
I can imagine how much this surprised and enraged Donald Trump when he announced the release of the SPR oil to drop oil prices and instead, oil prices went higher. The man with no understanding on how tariffs work and the unavoidable differences in the trade balance between rich and poor country's that trade based on indisputable principles of economics in our world, not surprisingly, shows he doesn't understand the oil markets in a global trading environment because he figured that attacking Iran without provocation would have no consequences to the United States. He was totally blindsided by this.
When he announced the attacks, he told the Iranians that this was their 1 chance to take back their country and he assumed that all we had to do was bomb the crap out of Iran with the most powerful military in the world, then the Iranians would listen to him and take back their country and he could declare himself a war hero again. He had no information that told him Iran was on the verge of having nuclear weapons and Iran had just agreed to reduce its enriched uranium.

I just asked my good Iranian-American friend for an update on the Iranian citizens’ support for the US/Israel in the war. I was surprised/saddened by his answer. He had been telling me that 80%, the ones that hate the mullah leadership, initially wanted US/Israel to do something. I love getting these updates because I deem them to be the unbiased truth of what’s really going on. He just said this:

And now Donald Trump is threatening to bomb their power plants and sources to create electricity while manufacturing peace talks that he says are making progress.
So we have several potential scenarios.
1. TACO Trump changes again (originally it was 48 hours), making up peace talks that don't exist which he says are moving towards a peace agreement.
2. Trump follows thru with his threat of destroying their ability to generate power/electricity and fresh water that needs the power(desalination, pumps in well and from rivers) and creates a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions for the people that Donald Trump claims to be doing this for. One can only imagine how those people will feel about Trump then.
3. Iran's actions in the Gulf of Hormuz will speak the truth about their positions. They have tremendous power to hurt Donald Trump by trying to keep the oil from flowing. Other than that, they don't have that much.
4. In any agreement, they will likely demand a guarantee of no more attacks in the future, which will mean almost nothing because Netanya and Trump attacked in the middle of progressing peace negotiations last June and again several weeks ago. What will speak louder than words is the US withdrawing all of its military forces. As they well know, Donald Trump could agree to something and the next day be bombing the crap out of them again. Donald Trump's words mean ZERO. IN fact, we can usually count on the opposite of what he says. His actions with our military speak much more clearly.
5. Just to repeat. We HAD A DEAL with Iran agreeing to reducing their enriched uranium stockpile and that's what triggered the attack from Israel that could not let the US and Iran have any deals.
6. The people that were trying to make that deal are dead and their replacements can't possibly be wanting to makes deals with the United States anymore after what we just did to their last deal. They KNOW who caused this betrayal and why. Donald Trump did this to please Netanyahu to earn his praise. Praise from powerful people for Donald Trump, is like heroin is to a junkie.
