This is a good point mcfarm.

We've seen many photo op  or broadcasting situations, especially outdoors when it makes total sense for the people in the pictures or being interviewed, lets say on television going out to millions of people, to not wear their mask, even if they are wearing a mask, at least take it off for a minute or two.

Instead, some of them actually want the mask on for theater, as Rand Paul called it.

There were a few national interviews that I saw last year, where the only people in the room were a camera person and the one being interviewed but the interviewee wore their mask.

Theater.

And then, it's a cloth mask most of the time anyway that has very limited protecting power.

If you are truly committed to wearing a mask all the time for protection and not using them for theater, then why wear the masks that don't help much...... instead of the N95 masks that really do protect you?

 Get N95 masks ASAP! Here's the truth.

Since we know now that getting vaccinated makes you 10 times less likely to die if you get COVID but doesn't stop you from getting COVID(just greatly lessens the chances) I still wear an N95 mask at places like Walmart, if the store is fairly crowded. 

Never outdoors and usually not if there are very few people in the store.

All medical facilities require a mask here. 

This is the analogy that I came up with regarding cloth masks vs N95 masks to help people understand the difference in effectiveness.

The medical community is right on with regards to vaccinations but they have really......totally blown it by not advising N95 masks. This especially includes Fauci.

A wonderful analogy to this cloth mask situation compared to the massively superior N95 masks that should be recommended over the cloth masks.

When you go on vacation to a tropical paradise or  the local beach,  backyard pool or just outside for an extended period in the Summer sun,  no doubt that you wear a high SPF sunscreen when outside all day and exposed to the sun................IF, you want to be protected from sunburn.

Some people might not want protection. We are talking about those that WANT the BEST protection from the sun. 

What if, during the Summer, when the sun was straight up and most powerful, all the experts, recognizing the high potential for that sun to burn you...... advised only one kind of sunscreen......SP 8 sunscreen like this below;

This is exactly what all the so called experts are doing when they push the cloth masks instead of the N95 masks!

Be smart and get vaccinated. In densely populated areas with a high incidence of COVID wear an N95  mask for the BEST protection.

edit 7-31-21: With so many people being ignorant and refusing to get vaccinated, it's best just to wear N95 masks indoors in ALL settings where masks are required.

Edit; 7-31-21: I just saw yesterday's new COVID case stats. ....182,000!!!! That's 18 times the number from 1.5 months ago. Get N95 masks!!!

Edit 1-20-22: I just learned something new about sunscreens and their effectiveness as shown below. Considering the new understanding, comparing cloth masks with SPF 8 sunscreen was numerous times more generous to cloth masks effectiveness in the analogy. They do NOT filter/block anything close to  87% of the COVID (SPF 8) or even 50%, like SPF 2. So we should change the analogy to SPF 1, the lowest that might exist(that might block 25% of UVB rays) and I can't find on the internet.
