Given Biden has acknowledged there is a border problem, Biden backed up by the MSM immediately blamed Trump

One thing that made me think devious thoughts:

 Pressure has mounted for Biden to step down and let Harris take over, even within his own party

Maybe Biden doesn't think he wants to go any where and considering the border problem will be a massive job with many pitfalls

Could it be Biden might think this is a good way to take Harris down a peg or two with some negative press about her future handling of the border problem and perhaps even throwing Harris under the bus

Maybe Biden is tired of all the positive press Harris has received as of lately

Biden got a face slapping by both russia and china  as of lately, and he must know the Iran-china-russia axis does not bode very well for his start into foreign diplomatic policy results.. And then N Korea sends him the finger by launching a couple rockets, all the while Harris gets the good public press.

Biden can't be very happy with the way events have turned out early in his administration and if it was anybody else the press would have a field day of complaints

So Biden hands Harris a tough assignment which is likely to produce negative press, which he might hope for
