In an industry that thrives on lies, attacks, hate and misleading to try to hurt their opponent, this one takes the cake.
Even before Ramaswamy’s campaign took responsibility, the Democratic candidate’s campaign issued a statement from her brother, Phillip Stearns, accusing her rival of stooping to “such a despicable low as to attempt to turn the sexual abuse Amy endured at twelve years old from our birth mother’s husband into a political talking point.”
Stearns’ statement added that their mother “stayed married to Amy’s rapist until he died.”
“This desperate, disgusting attack reveals exactly who Vivek Ramaswamy is at his core—a pathetic excuse for a man who is willing to hurt anyone as long as it gets him what he wants,” Stearns said.

Morally reprehensible and tactically idiotic to Ramswamy's campaign and he will be remembered for this. He will lose in Ohio but this ad will make the loss even bigger. This is the Donald Trump strategy to politics/leadership. Use cringe worthy lies then double down on stupid.
He has a wonderful opportunity to rise above this to denounce this ad but so far is defending it.
The vice president had an opportunity to take the high road on the year’s most disgusting attack ad. He flunked an important test of character.
