Longtime conservative commentator Tucker Carlson said on a podcast that “there’s no chance I would support the Republican Party” ahead of the November midterm elections, dismissing the political affiliation he’s defended as a pundit for decades, including as one of Fox News Channel’s most popular hosts.
Carlson supported Trump in 2024. After the war began, he apologized for supporting the then-presidential candidate and “misleading people,” saying it wasn’t intentional.
He’s repeatedly criticized the war as being at the behest of Israel at the expense of Americans and attacked the party for failing to represent its own voters, citizens and nation.
“They are making decisions on the basis of other criteria, what’s best for this company, what’s best for Israel, what’s best for our donors,” he said. “That’s not just, like, they are off in the wrong direction, like, that is unacceptable, that’s treasonous, it’s immoral, it can’t continue.”
“I’ve been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party, I mean very consistent defender, but there’s no defending this,” he said. “So no, I’m out. And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.”

Most Americans are shocked that the current R party, even by the lowest bar for ethical standards previously defining them, constantly violate that too!

In November 2024, I voted a straight R ticket to protest the horrible, cognitively compromised leadership of the Biden/Harris administration and especially because Donald Trump fooled me into thinking he would end the war in Ukraine fast instead of betraying Ukraine as he has.
In November 2026, I will be using my 1 vote to protest the party I voted for in 2024!!!
As well as using MarketForum as a platform to enlighten others with the authentic truths in politics, science, weather/climate, markets, economics, ethics and other realms!
In April, Trump posted on Truth Social, "Tucker is a Low IQ person - Always easy to beat, and highly overrated!!!"
Carlson later questioned how any American "could support a political party that's not loyal to the United States."
"It's not possible to vote for people like that and I'm not going to," he added. "I voted Republican my entire life. I worked at Fox News. I've been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party, but there's no defending this because it's immoral."

I never gave Tucker much credibility but the point is that a few of his biggest cheerleaders have turned against him.
Actually, I can't think of anybody with credibility that supports Donald Trump right now, so it would have to be low credibility people that abandon him.
Maybe the most credible person in his corner has been joe Rogan but even he is questioning what Trump is doing.
