Fortunately, there is video of the event again so we can all see what REALLY happened and not be misled by the blatant lies and coverup by the Trump administration. ........again.
WOW! The videos indicate that this is even more egregious than the murder of Renee Good.
CNN is showing some wonderful video, evidence and objective interpretations.
Fox is covering it up and instead, running propaganda blaming protesters for all the violence(calling them violent rioters and terrorists).
This guy was an intensive care unit nurse, dedicated to saving the lives of very sick people.
To MIScharacterize him as a terrorist that threatened to kill ICE agents is such an egregious violation of the truth. We saw the video. This is another, even more blatant lie.
He had a permit to carry that gun. It was a legal gun.
Ironic that the R party is all about Americans civil rights to LEGALLY carry a gun and the NRA, which is exactly what this guy was doing.......LEGALLY and suddenly its not ok.
We can see from the videos that he never pulled the gun out or threatened ICE officers with it.
Instead, the ICE agent confronted him, then half a dozen of them were on top of him, some completely subduing him while others kick him and sucker punch him.
Then they find the gun on his waiste band, take it away and after that they shoot him dead.
Not 1 shot but 3 or 4 shots to kill a man that was unarmed.
WOW!
cutworm,
What do you think this time?
mcfarm?
Others?
They are calling this new law enforcement tactic of ICE "Kill and Slander"
Seems about right in these recent high profile cases.

• Deadly shooting: Video appears to show a federal officer had taken a gun away from a Minneapolis man prior to a Border Patrol agent fatally shooting him today. The man has been identified as Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old who sources say worked as an ICU nurse. Police said he’s believed to have been a lawful gun owner with a permit to carry.
• Clashing narratives: The Department of Homeland Security has said the agent killed Pretti in self-defense — a narrative Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz called “nonsense” and “lies.” During the Trump administration’s sweeping immigration crackdown, DHS statements have at times been contradicted by bystander video and questioned in courts.
An I.C.U. nurse shot by federal agents was an American citizen with no criminal record, the city police chief said. A New York Times video analysis shows he was holding a phone, not a gun.

Federal agents shot and killed a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident on Saturday morning, prompting renewed protests and clashes in a city where tensions have reached a breaking point after weeks of aggressive federal immigration enforcement. As dusk fell, Minnesota officials deployed the National Guard in an effort to prevent further violence.
Colleagues and a senior law enforcement official identified the man who was shot as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, an intensive-care nurse. Videos analyzed by The New York Times appear to contradict the accounts of federal officials, who said Mr. Pretti approached Border Patrol agents with a handgun and the intent to “massacre” them.
Video footage shows Mr. Pretti stepping between a woman and an agent who is pepper spraying her. Other agents then pepper spray Mr. Pretti, who is holding a phone in one hand and nothing in the other. His concealed weapon is found only after he is restrained on the sidewalk, the videos show, and taken from him before the agents opened fire.
Federal officials posted an image of the gun they said Mr. Pretti was carrying, and initially blocked Minnesota law enforcement officers from the shooting scene. Chief Brian O’Hara of the Minneapolis police said Mr. Pretti was an American citizen with no known criminal record, and had a valid firearms permit, allowing him to carry a gun openly.
A colleague of Mr. Pretti, Dimitri Drekonja, said he had worked in the intensive-care unit at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Minneapolis. “He was a really great colleague and a really great friend,” Mr. Drekonja said. “The default look on his face was a smile.”

The graphic video, which was uploaded by Drop Site News, shows Pretti appearing to direct traffic and film federal agents on his phone. Soon after, he appears to be pepper-sprayed and wrestled to the ground by multiple agents. About a half-dozen agents are on top of Pretti or in his immediate vicinity when he is initially shot. The gunshots continue after Pretti is on the ground. The video, along with others recorded from different angles, refute the more than 150-word account of the shooting that DHS published on social media on Saturday afternoon. In that statement, DHS claimed that “an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun.”
The video is crystal clear to anybody with eyes that cares about the truth.
