U.S. export inspections were in line with expectations last week (#corn toward the higher end). A cargo of corn and about three of #soybeans were inspected for #China at the Gulf. Indonesia & Mexico were the top #wheat destinations.

#China's imports of #soybeans, #wheat, #barley and #pork were greater than last year through the first 8 months of 2023. #Corn is down 12%, though the volume is still significantly larger than pre-2020 levels. YTD soy imports are record high.

Here's the same table through June to compare the YOY. Lag in #corn imports is the same, but #soybeans have gained ground on last year:
