Thanks much Jean!

Looks like they will be the same as SX and CZ, new crop options......except that they are much shorter term and expire every Friday, every WEEK instead of 1 time, at the end of each month as the current, MONTHLY options do.

The success of this new product will depend on the liquidity based on the volume.

We need enough volume, along with a minimal spread between the bids/offers to make it easy for users to get in and out without taking a beating.

In low volume markets, especially if you want to get in/out fast(which I assume is a factor in offering a product that expires at the end of each week), the huge spread between the bid/offer means you have to pay up (buy the overpriced offer or sell the under priced bid).

tjc has been trading options for decades and we hope that he sees this and provides us with his thoughts.

My personal opinion with options and speculators is that most of them expire worthless and the sellers have a massive advantage. They price gouge, selling overpriced products that have a small chance of causing them to lose alot of money but a very high chance of making a little money at expiration.

They dial their risk of losing into the price.

The odds for making money buying options, in many cases are actually less than going to a casino and beating the house.

Their attraction comes from people afraid of losing alot of money trading straight futures that have 20 times the leverage of you actual money.

Got $10,000 to use as margin money to trade futures? You can control $200,000 worth of the product you're trading in futures.

You can lose MORE THAN all your money really fast........then have the product/futures turn around and prove you right, AFTER you were taken out.

With options, you pay up front X amount and thats your entire risk..........with unlimited profits potential. The market can initially go way against you but your risk stays the same.......the initial amount you paid for the option(the right to hold on to that trading vehicle until it expires) .

Then it can come back and you can make money, as you were able to hold on to what would have otherwise been an impossible draw down trading just futures.

I LOL WHEN I READ THAT ARTICLE  HAHAHAHAAA  ONE WOULD NEED TO KEEP THEIR COOL HEAD, I'D THINK.

I DO HOPE THEY LIST THEM ON THEIR PAGE.

WHEN I USED TO DO THE TWICE YEARLY CASINO STOP, I'D HEAD TO THE CASHIER TO GET MY $20 IN QUARTERS, AS I SAID: "I WANNA DONATE TO THE RESERVATION, BUT...I ALSO WANNA MAKE IT FUNNNNNN!"  THEY ALWAYS GOT A KICK OUT OF IT.
