for this last year bonds pretty much followed their seasonal pattern.  interest rates went down from spring to the end of the year.  (prices went up). 

the pattern shows the trend going the other way from about jan into the spring.  

we'll see if this pattern holds.  if interest rates go up for the next few months, then stocks will be less likely to rally.
