U.S. export inspections for #corn & #soybeans are improving from previous weeks but remain well off last year's levels. ~4 bean cargoes inspected for #China last week (3 Gulf, 1 PNW). No corn to China. #Wheat inspections were below expectations.

#China set its low tariff rate quota for 2022 #corn and #wheat imports at the same levels they've been at for at least five years: 7.2 mmt for corn and 9.64 mmt for wheat. China imported 21.4 mmt of corn from Jan-Aug 2021, so the TRQ doesn't necessarily restrict imports.

U.S. #corn sales were disappointing last week, but everything else was as expected.

Guatemala and Mexico bought corn, #China bought 776kt #soybeans.

#Cotton sales at 571k RB are among the best weekly sales in years, led by China.
