The drought and increase in wildfires out West have been caused by a NATURAL temperature configuration in the Pacific. The La Nina and the La Nina signature in the tropical Pacific since early 2020, that is causing this........ is from COOL temperature anomalies which are associated with natural global cooling. Global warming CAN'T be causing that.
They have it exactly backwards.............another example of them wrongly associating every bad thing with man made climate change.

A very minor point that I keep meaning to state. Notice how the scare tactic terminology has changed from 'Global Warming' to 'Climate Change'?
When I was in high school, (2003-2007) it was all about Global Warming along with Al Gores sci-fi masterpiece an inconvenient truth. Since then, almost no one uses the term Global Warming and instead they use 'Climate Change'.
I suspect the reason they did this is because Global Warming implies the global temperature will always be rising, year after year, decade after decade. Which hasn't been the case.
So by changing to 'Climate Change', they now have a catch-all term that can be applied to any scenario, any situation.

In reading this report, as an atmospheric scientist for 39 years..........it's just jaw dropping scientific malfeasance and designed to have a political impact for the now, well know political agenda(because the authentic science has failed miserably in the real world for the past 2 decades)

I’ve been using that AP story from 1989 for the last decade to show the exact same thing.
However, what people may not realize is that 1989 story was changed to try to hide it. They got rid of the year and got rid of the title earlier this year.

I’ve been sending that article and link above to people for at least a decade. Earlier this year, they eliminated the title and date of the article that I inserted above the link here for you to see.
Clearly, they did it to make it harder to find(hide it) for people doing a search online and also to eliminate the embarrassing title and year(1989) when the Associated Press reported the United Nations trying to scare us with the ” we have 10 years left” false narrative……32 years ago.
So I guess that we must have killed the planet 3 times since then (-:

They’re asking you to trust institutions and this is a political lobbying arm of the United Nations that pretends to be a science panel. They were started in 1988. Their goal is to scare everyone to convince you into “climate action.” Al Gore has said these reports are “torqued up.” How else do you get the attention of policymakers? One of the lead authors on this report actually says he hopes it impacts the way people vote.
Update (EW): The following diagram beautifully illustrates how small variations in dataset choice produce wildly different outcomes and conclusions. In this case excluding likely contaminated urban temperature series, only using rural temperature series, produces temperature series which appear to correlate well with natural forcings.

Proof with accurate 2 decade long measurement of the actual amount of radiative forcing caused by CO2 of 1 irrefutable reason for WHY global climate models continue to be too warm. The arrogance and bias of the UN/IPCC in refusing to adjust down the global climate model projections and their interpretation, even after we've irrefutably proven them too warm(double the real warming) with measured empirical data/science is incredible.
