Minimal hurricane to hit Florida right now.......with massive divergence, meaning it could go into the Gulf of Mexico or it could go east of Florida.

Elsa has weakened slightly and is barely down to the highest Tropical Storm intensity and is not expected to get much stronger for the rest of her life.

Elsa should remain just below minimal hurricane strength, tracking across the far Eastern GOM, then curving northeastward.

On my way to assist my 95 year old Dad in Detroit who is in the hospital with colon issues but nothing serious.

She's re-strengthening more than expected in the far E Gulf and with her already back up to 70 mph, she may be about to become a hurricane again.

Looks like a minimum hurricane now vs a maximum tropical storm before with Elsa previously forecast to be just below the hurricane threshold and now being just above it.
