Liz Warren wants to increase IRS funding to catch tax cheats. One would think this might be reasonable, assuming the targets warren wants to target are high income as that might be more fertile ground for unpaid taxes
However, she mentions racial disparity with no explanation of what part she considers racial in her proposed tax bill.
IMO every politician, MSM etc is on the racial disparity thing. Even Ag is allowing 120% forgiveness of loans for disadvantaged farmers
Frankly the USA has a guilt complex about past sins about slavery. In Canada we bow down to indigenous natives
Don't you think it is about time to let the past be part of the past. Who amongst us has committed these sins today
If law enforcement gets out of hand then punish like any other crime. Defunding is a step too far.

Is there a country in the world that is not racist to some degree
It is a fact of life and will continue
Their are a good many parts of the USA that I feel out of place. Race takes many shapes, sizes etc and there will always be a part of racism in our society
So get used to it
Nobody is immune to racism
So: IMO Warren playing the race card by including "race disparity" with her tax bill

Like many other realms, the race card is being played to accomplish things totally unrelated to what they want you to think they are after.
For instance, if BLM and this particular movement was REALLY after saving black lives or even making black lives better, they would be going after the real problem.
Do cops kill more blacks or does crime kill more blacks?
OK, it goes way beyond the answer to that question.
We know with certainty that young black men commit 6 times more violent crime than young white men.
That's whats REALLY killing the black people but there is ZERO accountablity for this and here's the thing. If you addressed this violent crime and reigned it in..................most of the problem with the cops would go away.
1. If you reduced the violent crime by 600%.......down to the white crime, then big confrontations between cops and violent black criminals would go down 600%..........and at the same time, thousands of OTHER black lives would be saved in the country, including the ones committing the crimes that end up in prison or dead.
2. If cops don't have to arrest blacks 6 times more often for committing crimes..............their reason to profile goes away.
3. Instead, we blame the police in the US and label them racially systemic.................the only ones actually risking their lives to accomplish objectives #1 and #2 so that law abiding blacks can enjoy the fullness of the American dream
4. We're manufacturing a reality. Taking a small problem and turning it into the ONLY problem, while causing the REAL MASSIVE problem that needs fixing...to get worse.
5. Because using race is very powerful to accomplish political agenda.
6. Everybody is now labelled by their skin color. Statistics are taken in every realm imagineable that you can measure and they break down the races. If blacks are a few % less off than whites, then immediate action has to be taken to quickly resolve the disparity...........no matter what the reasons are for the disparity.
But once you introduce race as the reaons behind a bill, you can call anyone who opposes it "Racist".
I should also add that I am strongly for racial equality and changes in the police force that address the issues of brutality and abuse of force.
And unlike the tactics being used today, I think that we should work WITH the police(not against them) to help them do the job they are commited to doing more effectively. They are NOT the enemy. The extremely high crime rates and homicides are the enemy.
Using them as scapegoats allows the real enemy to go scott free/do even more damage.....to ALL citizens.
Forget the black only or white only mentality. Let's just treat everybody as human beings and not use them or abuse them because of skin color.

Here are 2 things that would solve most of the police problems pretty quickly.
1st, educate people so they'll understand that when they resist the police, when they fight the police, if they brandish weapons around the police, it will probably end badly for them, and it's to be expected.
2nd, have the press fairiy report the interactions and the actual statistics so people will underdstand what's actually happening.
But since neither of those things are very likely, we can continue on our current course where we scream to defund the police and throw officers under the bus at every turn, and watch as the police stop doing thier job and what that means for society.
Either approach will go a long way towards solving our police problems.
