Looks like Trumps reducing corporate tax bill and regulations/red tape is having an effect in the oil industry

According to Bloomberg, capital spending on oil drilling is expanding in the USA while Canada lags behind

Some Canadian oil companies are allocating much more spending in the USA due to red tape expenses

Some have said reducing taxes on corporations was a gift to the rich

This oil thing proves that theory wrong

When corporations are free to spend capital, the jobs will follow

We need to wake up and make some changes in Canada

I suppose if the oil stays there in Canada we can always come back later once we throw Trudeau out of office

Some corporations were quoted as saying they are spending 90% on USA oil development and 10% in Canada

Socialism

UGH

If the intent was to increase capital spending and not to enrich the rich,  then they should have given a tax CREDIT for capital spending instead.  Much of the money went into stock buy-backs , which reduces the number of outstanding shares and increases the value of the shares.
