The report tomorrow is bearish and the heat is still in the forecast. If it stays hot corn yields will disappoint even with lots of moisture. I very rarely trade the long side of grains, but I will if this setup happens. I also think corn is oversold.
Agree with you kansas! You and I were insisting here in the hot/wet Summer of 2010 that yields were getting hurt from heat fill..................even as crop ratings stayed high with the corn looking great on the outside from the abundant rains.
The market was shocked at harvest.

This will happen again "IF" it stays hot. If it cools off, then this will be a huge crop.
I only trade with the long term trends. Corn has already done the downside trend. The rest will only be for daytrading. Will consider long trades when the market turns again.
