Most people point to failed socialist countries as an example of failed socialism

But socialism has produced some good stuff

In the USA how many people receive some kind of subsidy payment from the gov't. The gov't is the largest employer in the USA. Those employees must benefit some how. Is this socialism when the largest employer is the gov't or people who receive a subsidy from the gov't all prosper

Would you say the Fed is a failure. The Fed saved us from the 2008/9 recession. The Fed has helped millions with some kind of stimulus. Is the Fed not central planning

Moving away from the USA, china is centrally planned. Which country has advanced the most in the last 20 yrs from central planning

Is socialism a form of central planning. If not what is central planning other than a form of socialism.

One can argue socialism has not failed every where

Thanks Wayne!

Socialized medicine/health care is the only way for us to clean up the disastrous/collapsing system we have right now.

My wife and I have a group insurance policy right now.

$1,800/month, her employer is paying it. That's $21,600/year.

With a $5,000 deductible.  After we meet that, then they pay 50%.

So, if you include our yearly premiums, this insurance company, SIHO get's $26,800/year  before they start paying out at 50%.

Not sure at what amount they start to pay 100%.

I had no say in purchasing this horrible policy. Do not use them.

However, I did not shop around but assume there must be much better policies.
