Better late than never.  Enjoying my vacation :-)

Not much bad news this week.

RedBook still showing soft though I expect Retail Sales in the coming week will show a diferent story.

Construction Spending still showing slight contraction.

MFG is showing strength in Factory Orders and ISM hitting a significant Pandemic high.

Service Industry is on fire, based on the ISM reading of 58.1,  the highest reading in a few years.

The Employment Situation was as disappointing as it can be, if you can call 1.8 million new jobs a disappointment.  It does pale in comparison to recent readings but I am very encouraged by the 250k drop in Jobless Claims.  Still high at 1119K but heading in the right direction.  I hope we see a continuation.

A solid C+ this week with the suck factor lowerd to 7.5 based on Jobless Claims.
