"Pass the Buck" Trump is pathetic! Look at what he did here. He's insane. He's so unfit for office. I'm proud to say that I never even considered voting for this joke either time. If I had, I'd probably be embarrassed to tell anyone.

CNN isn't telling me this. Common sense/decency is telling me this. I don't need CNN or anyone else to tell me what I can tell with my own two eyes and ears. It isn't just that he's a "meanie" or a jerk. He's a cancer and needs to go bye bye. This isn't blind hatred causing this. Saying that is an insult to my intelligence.

"President Trump on Monday publicly criticized Deborah Birx, the doctor who is coordinating the White House's coronavirus response, suggesting she was hurting him after she bluntly acknowledged that the pandemic is widespread across the United States."

Trump criticizes Birx over Pelosi, COVID-19 remarks: 'Pathetic'

Thanks Larry!

Here are the relevant quotes from this story that started with Pelosi's bashing of Birx.

Just the quotes, using the exact words of the 3  people and the reporters in the stories, no editorial comments by me.

Decide for yourself what you want to make of it.

Pelosi: "Politico reported Pelosi told White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin that Birx was the "worst" and that they were in "horrible hands" with her."

Asked on ABC's "This Week" whether the account was true and if she has confidence in Birx, Pelosi said, "I think the President is spreading disinformation about the virus and she is his appointee, so I don't have confidence there, no."

"Birx then defended herself on Sunday."

"I have tremendous respect for the speaker, and I have tremendous respect for her long dedication to the American people," Birx said, adding, though, that she could have "brought forth the data" to back up her analysis had the Times spoken with her.

"I have never been called pollyannish, or nonscientific, or non-data driven," Birx said. "And I will stake my 40-year career on those fundamental principles of utilizing data to really implement better programs to save more lives."

"To everybody who lives in a rural area, you are not immune or protected from this virus," Birx continued. "And that is why we keep saying, no matter where you live in America, you need to wear a mask and socially distance, do the personal hygiene pieces."

"What we are seeing today is different from March and April. It is extraordinarily widespread. It's into the rural as equal urban areas," she said, suggesting that some Americans in multi-generational families should start wearing masks inside their homes.

"Asked by Bash if it was time to reset the federal government response to the pandemic, Birx said, "I think the federal government reset about five to six weeks ago when we saw this starting to happen across the South."

Trump: "So Crazy Nancy Pelosi said horrible things about Dr. Deborah Birx, going after her because she was too positive on the very good job we are doing on combatting the China Virus, including Vaccines & Therapeutics. In order to counter Nancy, Deborah took the bait & hit us. Pathetic!" Trump wrote.

When Trump was asked what he meant in his tweet, the President sidestepped the question.

"Well, I think that we're doing very well and we have done as well as any nation," he told reporters at a press briefing Monday afternoon.

"I told Dr. Birx I think we're doing very well. She was in my office a little while ago. She's a person I have a lot of respect for. I think Nancy Pelosi's treated her very badly," Trump added. "And I'm just referring to the fact that I thought that, really, they should say the job we've done ... I think we're just doing very well."

"Trump has consistently spoken highly of Birx, and his aides have come to her defense in recent weeks as she has endured media scrutiny over her role in the pandemic response efforts at the White House, as well as criticism from Pelosi."

I think the comments speak for themselves and unless some of Trump's comments have been excluded, they do little to support the theme of the OP.

I am a little disappointed. Expected to see racist and homophobe as well. Not to mention a Russian asset.

Those were all the comments that I could find after reviewing close to 10 articles.

I only included one link/article as a source as many of them  had eye catching headlines and editorialized interpretations that focused on the one word that Trump used, pathetic and I specifically wanted readers here to look only at the actual words that were said.

The point is, whether we get our news from CNN, Fox or wherever, we get our news from someplace. We are not the reporters gathering the information and using the quotes for our stories. That is always done for us before we read it..............along with, in this day and age the reporters spin/interpretation of how we should interpret the facts/ quotes. Its now part of the story. Not telling the news but telling you what to think of the news, while you think its just telling the news.

So I provided ALL the news that I could find(words spoken and trying to be all inclusive) and gave you 0% telling you what to think of the news............and left the "thinking"  or figuring out how to interpret it to the reader, not the author of the article or metmike.

If somebody else has a specific quote that was NOT in any of the many, many articles published yesterday, please post it.

It seems unlikely that this would have been overlooked by every news source but maybe I somehow missed something.

Comments on this are welcome with open arms, especially criticisms .
