Back in the olden days, we had the dollar index in one form or another over on the left margin. Most, if not all of the prices we look at are based on the buck, and it's often a good place to look in the midst of sudden price moves. Not the only one, of course, but a good one just the same.
Yeah Tim, a quick reference like that is nice to have at your finger tips ,but when you look at the dollar index it is 10-20 minutes delayed (pretty sure)..That used to be a NY thing -unless you paid for real time service from the exchanges. And it seems to continue.
Guess I've gotten spoiled with all the free real time quotes and charts out there.
You need real time info when you are trading real time "stuff".
Ive stayed away from what used to be NY exchanges and products-metals and softs-because that soured me long ago.
I should really get with program and update my thinking,eh?

There is one site that provides REAL TIME EVERYTHING, even those pesky New York markets. Brokerages now charge over $100 per month to access real time in the Softs. But at this site, so much is available, across the board and all in real time. A real convenience even if you already have a live wire!
Wonderful link Hayman!
Thanks much for sharing it with us!
