Wow, the NYT looks really bad here!

"Answers to Reader Questions on Our Brett Kavanaugh Essay"

Strength of the accusation

"Some readers have argued that the latest accusation against Mr. Kavanaugh was too weak to appear in The Times. Given that the woman who was said to be involved in the incident refused to be interviewed, and her friends have said she doesn’t remember what happened, why did you include that accusation in the essay?"

Calls for Kavanaugh’s Impeachment Come Amid New Misconduct Allegations

"Several Democratic presidential candidates called for the impeachment of Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh on Sunday after The New York Times published new information about allegations of sexual misconduct against him, while Republican leaders condemned the reporting as irresponsible and defended him."

As low as they need to get in order to destroy their opponents and gain power:

Today's MSM is making for good competition for rags and stories in tabloid news magazines like the ones below:

Bat Boy, Hillary Clinton's Alien Baby, and a Tabloid's Glorious Legacy

A new collection gathers the greatest hits of The Weekly World News, a fantastical checkout-counter standby until 2007.

Guess if these(below) were titles of articles from the newspaper on the previous page, The Weekly World News......... or if they were from newspapers/sources like the LA times and NY times, CNN, CNBC?

Miami to be Under Water in a few years says AOC..........from sea levels going up 1 inch/decade!

Polar bears threatened with extinction from the climate crisis ............as their numbers increase 30% since 2005!

Severe, widespread droughts increasing across the globe............as the planet massively greens up!

World wide crop failures from the climate emergency...............as record smashing yields and food production  dominate!

2020 is the last chance to stop the climate apocalypse............as the best weather/climate and CO2 levels in the last 1,000 years continues.

These accusations appear to be generated by " third parties".

Since the alleged victim refuses to be interviewed and her friends claim she does not recall the incident, third parties appear to have initiated these claims.

So anyone can claim anything about anybody and pass it off as fact?

And people believe this sh-----t?

C'mon !!

I'm guessing its a preemptive reaction to a fear that Ginsberg may soon be replaced.  Another conservative justice, ya know, one who bases his rulings on the constitution, would tip the scales heavily against the lefts agenda. Judicial activism has been crucial in getting laws on the books that would never make it through the legislative process. And the bench would likely remain so for a couple decades.

the question is how could the current class of dems stoop so low as this behavior. Its no wonder many dems do  not recognize their party any longer. Who believe many of the dems running for pres. have stood up and want to impeach Kavanauh over a fake news story planted by the low NY times? I do not even think the old time cheaters like Joe Kennedy would gone down to this level. Lots of dems staying home next election, they have no one to vote for.

From CNN:

New York Times' botched Kavanaugh story the latest in series of blunders from Opinion section

New York (CNN Business)The New York Times was reeling on Monday after its Opinion section fumbled a high-profile story about an allegation of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, drawing widespread criticism and condemnation of the newspaper.

It was the latest in a series of high-profile blunders that has caused embarrassment to James Bennet since he was appointed in 2016 as the editor overseeing The Times' Opinion section.

Goodwin: The alternative ‘facts’ of the Times’ Brett Kavanaugh story

"Although some of its usual supporters are among those blasting The New York Times for its slimy hit job on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the paper is tuning them out and digging itself into a deeper hole. Exhibit A is that Tuesday’s edition carried a front-page article asserting that the “Allegation Reopens the Debate Over Kavanaugh.”

In political and journalistic terms, that amounts to giving a giant middle finger to the world. The Times is going rogue.

The choice might be admirable if the facts weren’t so damn inconvenient. Because they are, the paper is revealing itself to be more arrogant than honest and more wedded to its activist agenda than the truth.

The whole country knows the Times screwed up big time, but the propaganda sheet formerly known as the Gray Lady is oblivious to what others think. Grown fat and lazy by the hosannas and dollars of people who hate President Trump, it operates inside a bubble of its own."

The Architect of the Latest Kavanaugh Smear Just Gave a Self-Damning Radio Interview

There is no substantiated evidence of any sexual misbehavior by Brett Kavanaugh at any point in his entire life. Several shaky claims have been made along these lines, but all of them are badly undercut by available evidence. None of them is more likely than not to be true.

Yet in a casual radio interview this morning, New York Times reporter Robin Pogrebin, a classmate of Kavanaugh’s at Yale, gave an unintentionally revealing report about her approach to the story. Following Christine Blasey Ford’s hard-to-believe testimony, which was undercut by all witnesses she placed at the party in question, including a lifelong friend of hers, and following Deborah Ramirez’s hard-to-believe story, which she herself admitted being uncertain about, Pogrebin obviously became subjected to confirmation bias. She had a narrative in mind and she pushed and pulled her writing to fit it.

Pogrebin is at the center of a discussion of gross journalistic malpractice after publishing a story Saturday night with colleague Kate Kelly that failed to mention that a woman who, according to a man named Max Stier, had Kavanaugh’s penis pressed into her hand at a campus party by multiple friends of his has said she recalls no such incident. That woman has also declined to talk about the matter with reporters or officials. Why even publish Stier’s claim, which was discounted by Washington Post reporters who heard about it a year ago, that he witnessed such an incident during a Yale party in the 1980s? Because of the narrative, Pogrebin says. “We decided to go with it because obviously it is of a piece with a kind of behavior,” she said on WMAL. Pure confirmation bias.

yes, MM .  Saw those two wacked out "reporter, authors" on tv last nite and they actually blamed much of this mess on editors who "accidently" had left out certain facts.......like the "victim" never had a memory of the event , just small little unimportant facts you know....NYT has left the building
