What a wonderful world we live in

Does anybody remember the headlines, a short time ago, about a shortage of truck drivers with wages of 100,000/.00/yr being offered. This even made major TV media headlines

We all watch Bear and his monthly reports of transport information of goods being moved each month.

As of lately, we have all seen the steady downward  trend of goods being moved from A to B location by rail  and other means of transport

Anybody that isn't living under a rock has read about the coming world recession with china the star head line to slower world trade and thus we are all headed to recession, with the USA the only country with a booming economy and such low unemployment, that any lower is impossible.

Now we read about truck companies going broke because of a lack of revenue to meet expenses

My son is swamped with work. He can't find enough qualified workers. He is investing in high tech to do more work instead of the human hand, and is still swamped with work. I suspect this is a spin off from the strong USA economy

Our farm has invested heavily in tech to do more with less human hands and hrs at the steering wheel, We do more with each hr of work, but golly we still work long hrs.. We have a slow down as of now. My son is busy with receivables, my grand son starts each day at 7 A.M instead of 6 A.M. In two weeks the sweet corn will require him to work as much as 18 hrs/day. I don't know how he does it while my son has to do the corn delivery runs each day, and help with any repairs to the sweet corn machinery, plus finish with office work and line up this fall tiling work. Oh yes, I reported my machine needs some minor repairs

We hear about 15/hr being the death of some business that can't afford the higher wage

People who work for 15.00/hr can't make ends meet and some are forced to live on the street

The fabulous 4 democrats want everybody to have free money or so called Democratic socialism. Actually it is socialism with the word Democratic attached to the front of the words, which means these people want to over throw the gov't by democratic means instead of violent revolution

One lady ran up a 500,000.00 student loan debt but 11 banks refused a car loan and now she can not figure out why nobody will lend her money to start her own business. Like she could borrow  for student loans but not for business or car purchase. By the way she got divorced as her ex hubby did not want any part of her life. [Smart man]

I don't believe much of anything I read including the weather forcast. It is supposed to rain here but with 60%  chances of rain, somebody else will get the 60%

Have you ever seen such a mixed up world or at least the part of the world we know and live in.

I don't know how well I know it but I am stuck living here and would not trade places for any other part of the world. I expect you all feel the same as I do.

Agreed, great thoughts Wayne,

We are blessed to live WHERE we do but even more so, WHEN we are living here in history.

Just go back 100 years and think of all that we have today that people back then didn't have.

During this upcoming heat wave, which pales by comparison the many Summers with heat almost all Summer long like this in the Dust Bowl 1930's, remember that they didn't have air conditioning.

And do know that this fake climate crisis is really a climate optimum and we should be greatful for the best weather and climate in the last 1,000 years........and the tremendous benefits that the increase in CO2 has had for all of life.

What  A Wonderful  world

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really…

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

I think the only real worry is a nuclear war which wipes out all living plants, humans, animals etc. and leaves a wasteland of radioactive material. A real thermo nuclear war would wipe out the planet

We can't waste time worrying about that. Only hope it never happens

Progress is inevitable. We can look back and think how much better today is

We don't know the future but change will happen. Some resist change because they fear the unknown. Others embrace change and make this a better world

A lady my age lies dying of cancer . How much have we advanced with medicine and other medical changes. And progress is being made every day. What was the life expectancy of the cave man. What is it today and tomorrow

Just something as simple as the cell phone has changed our personal lives. I don't dare leave the house with out my cell phone. My wife can go in the car, secure in the knowledge she will be able to call for help, should she need such assistance

If such a simple thing, as the cell phone, we all take for granted has changed our life, just think what will change in the next 10-50-100 yrs

But some things I don't like. Politics and the way the game is played turns my stomach. Trump came along and upset the apple cart. Some don't like him or the games he plays. No comment as  some I agree and some I don't. The way he treated Canada during NAFTA was a pure political play to his base voter, and because he could.

An other is corruption in the halls of power. The lives that have been ruined for personal vendettas

And finally the  justice system is not fair or blind folded

We all know Hillary or Bill will never pay for their sins. What kind of justice is that. If that was you or me we would rot in jail.

So we take the good with the bad and hope one day we will meet in heaven or what ever our religion has us believe

We came into the world with nothing and leave with nothing. The part that is in between?? well you fill in that part

Some we did ourself and some was an accident of birth

Isn't the world so wonderful and terrible sad, all at the same time???

As Mike says:

Do something to make this a better world we live in.

Exactly Wayne!

We can't control all the bad stuff that happens around us or what other people say and do but we can control our own actions and words and should be held accountable for those.

And we can brighten up the little world surrounding us and be a big plus in it for the people we touch............if we choose that!

And have nice things said about us during our euology (-:
