Green New Deal

I decided to start a new thread on this one because it really deserves to be exposed............because it's based entirely on fake climate science and I'm an atmospheric scientist with a mission to show the truth about this and other fraudulent schemes based on a fake climate crisis.

Keep in mind that I've been an  environmentalist for 37 years!

Speaking of whacked out ideas, this one might be the most whacked out in the history of our country:

Green New Deal

https://www.gp.org/green_new_deal

"Initiate a WWII-scale national mobilization to halt climate change, the greatest threat to humanity in our history"

metmike: As shown with dozens of data sources here, our planet it greening up and experiencing the best weather/climate and CO2 levels in the last 1,000 years.

The climate crisis only exists on computer simulations of the atmosphere, using mathematical equations to represent a busted theory(too warm) but NOT in the real world.

We were given 12 years to act in 2007 by Al Gore and he got the Nobel Peace Prize for it.

He was dead wrong, as polar bears have greatly increased and the planet has greened up...........as expected from objective scientists using authentic science and real world observations.

Now, we are told that we must act again in the next 12 years.

This was 12 years ago:

2007 Nobel Peace Prize

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Nobel_Peace_Prize

The 2007 Nobel Peace Prize was shared, in two equal parts, between the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Al Gore "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".

This is what happened since then:

Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds

https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2016/carbon-dioxide-fertilization-greening-earth

As Polar Bear Numbers Increase, GWPF Calls For Re-assessment Of Endangered Species Status

https://www.thegwpf.org/as-polar-bear-numbers-increase-gwpf-calls-for-re-assessment-of-endangered-species-status/

"Since 2005, however, the estimated global polar bear population has risen by more than 30% to about 30,000 bears, far and away the highest estimate in more than 50 years."

Here is the latest now from the IPCC, which got the Nobel Peace prize with Gore in 2007:

Report: we have just 12 years to limit devastating global warming

https://www.vox.com/2018/10/8/17948832/climate-change-global-warming-un-ipcc-report

"We have just 12 years to make massive and unprecedented changes to global energy infrastructure to limit global warming to moderate levels, the United Nation’s climate science body(IPCC) said in a monumental new report released Sunday."

metmike: I predict that, as long as the modest global temperature increase continues and the massively beneficial CO2 increase continues, that the planet will continue to get greener........very high confidence.  How would this NOT happen is my question?

Not only are we NOT headed towards a climate crisis.........we are actually headed toward a climate Optimum:

Holocene climatic optimum

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocene_climatic_optimum

"The Holocene Climate Optimum (HCO) was a warm period during roughly the interval 9,000 to 5,000 years BP. It has also been known by many other names, such as Altithermal, Climatic Optimum, Holocene Megathermal, Holocene Optimum, Holocene Thermal Maximum, Hypsithermal, and Mid-Holocene Warm Period.

The Holocene Climate Optimum warm event consisted of increases of up to 4 °C near the North Pole (in one study, winter warming of 3 to 9 °C and summer of 2 to 6 °C in northern central Siberia)"

"Out of 140 sites across the western Arctic, there is clear evidence for conditions warmer than now at 120 sites. At 16 sites, where quantitative estimates have been obtained, local HTM temperatures were on average 1.6±0.8 °C higher than now."

The best thing the UN could ever do for the USA is ask it to depart.

There's a song about all the advantages the Green New Deal will offer us. Really.

Step Right Up

I feel the climate change thing has gotten to the point where it is thwarting finding a solution to the real problem.

We have to find a substitute for fossil fuels. Climate change or no, they are finite, we need to find a replacement.

We are finding substitutes.  In 20 years, our energy sources will look completely different than they do today. And that will be long before any of the multiple doomsday predictions we've seen from the climate fewls..   I feel confident in this prediction since every single doomsday prediction so far has passed it's deadline and failed dramatically.

The only thing that could possibly stand in the way would be government involvement.  Then,  we'll get something resembling our governments war on poverty, war on drugs, war on college tuition  etc, etc. Massive taxes and massive failure as the problems escalate.

"We have to find a substitute for fossil fuels."

There should be a discussion on that mcfarmer. I hope that you're not suggesting that we should tell blatant lies and sell fake/junk climate  science in order to accomplish this.

One reason  is that plans like that backfire badly when people find out the truth...........and that isn't at all the reason for faking the climate crisis anyways. And its very unethical in my opinion to lie to people on such a monumental scale.

So how much of each fossil fuel is left?

You can go to different sources that will give you different numbers  because there is tremendous uncertainty. The amount that the experts thought that we had left, just keeps growing and growing every year as we discover more and more reserves.  Here is a graph below from 1 estimate............which might be on the low side based on history:

Image result for how many years left of fossil fuels image

I think there's a decent chance that some of the oil is not a fossil fuel. It was created abiotically, deep down in the earth and comes up closer to the surface. If this is true, then the supply is unlimited. This would also explain why some wells have refilled and the amounts discovered have greatly exceeded what most thought possible for fossil fuels, decade after decade.

Also, think about the massive, massive amounts of dead plants/animals that would have had to die and decompose for millions of years to create what we've used to far...........and we keep finding more and more.

It's gotten to the point that the amount coal, oil and natural gas used and known reserves(which keep going higher) has gone beyond what decomposed plants could be responsible for.

Abiotic Oil a Theory Worth Exploring

https://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/on-energy/2011/09/14/abiotic-oil-a-theory-worth-exploring

How are fossil fuels formed in the earth and how long does the process take?

https://www.enotes.com/homework-help/how-fossil-fuels-formed-earth-how-long-process-771697

So what if abiotic oil exists and comes from deep inside the earth?

1. It means that the supply is probably unlimited.

2. The oil industry, which would understand this best, would be highly motivated to NOT tell us because the value of fossil fuels is related to the finite supply. Obviously the demand/supply curve in 2019 is the main driving factor for the price in 2019. However, there are longer term dynamics which would make it much more profitable for the oil companies if all oil is fossil fuel oil. We know that oil companies put profits ahead of all else.  That's not to say that they're hiding something because of this...........just that if/when they found it out, they would not share it openly.
