  • The stock market is off to its best start in 32 years, portending a tough road ahead for more gains.
  • There are a number of positive points, including favorable valuations, a dovish Fed and stimulus effects, according to Jim Paulsen, strategist at the Leuthold Group.
  • "I wouldn't be surprised at a healthy pullback that scares people again, but I just think the fundamentals are there," an optimistic Paulsen said.
  • The median projection for full-year 2019 for the S&P 500 is 2,950, or about 7.5 percent from Thursday's close.
