The swamp is drained ... of all love and caring.
All the lies leave us with great despairing.
The Politicians promise us many great things
... things that tomorrow never brings.
The looming shutdown is still on the docket.
Was a lesson learned or will they lock it.
Oh, must we swallow that bitter pill?

We think that we know a lot of things
Much is true but some is lying
When it comes to things political
Our judgment becomes uncritical
We tune into our favorite media source
And they tell us who we should endorse
We store this information in our brain
Carrying it around.......a cerebral ball and chain
