What I find incredible is that our meglomaniac President wants to take full "credit" for the shut-down.

Trump envisioned "THE TRUMP WALL" that could be seen from out of space. Now he'll settle for only a 5
billion dollar wall to sort of fulfill a campaign promise. It's either his way or the shutdown.

The Border Patrol agents don't like walls because they can't see what't going on behind them. In populated
areas tunnels under a wall or fence can and have been built. In open space areas there are more practical
methods to maintain and increase security, which we all want.

Electronic survalence, fences, the use of drones and idle military personnel to beef up the Border Patrol
 have been previously discussed.

The truth is carl in populated areas they don't have to build tunnels they already exists as part of storm water and sewer water management setups, all water on our southern border runs south and we have a system of tunnels that the illegals already can access.

bad policy is bad policy

"we have a system of tunnels that the illegals already can access."

… and we can be sure that  the Border Patrol is aware of them.
