for several months the curve had gotten wider,  but now it has quickly narrowed again.

will we get an inversion soon?  and will the fed keep raising?

I think we got an inversion and as one pundit wrote

The fed just had to break something

the inversion was the 3 yr vs the 5 yr.  but most people look at the 2 yr vs the 10 yr.  so only one little part of the curve was inverted.

for england, for example, the 50 yr has a lower rate than the 30 yr.  so the long end is inverted,  but other parts of the curve are not inverted.  not sure what this means,  when you see it only in one section of the curve.
