Three broken ribs requires a pretty hard fall. There may be more to this story than we are told.

I hope for the best.  I've had a lot of injuries over the years, and nothing has provided more long term discomfort that broken ribs.  You can't breath without pain and gawd help you if you sneeze/cough. And pain meds barely help.

Tim, guess I'm just lucky. Fell into a dresser and hit a handle. Broke the lowest rib on the right side, and never knew it till I had a chest xray a while later.

Hate to kick a dead horse in the ribs, but my broken rib healed in an overlapping fashion, and sticks out of my side.

I felt no undue pain while it healed.
