I will have to politically flip with regards to my recent criticism of the Rs in Congress.

More comments later but Anthony Fauci blatantly lied about the origins of COVID to cover up their experiments which CREATED IT and accidentally let it escape from the lab in Wuhan.

Here are some previous threads on Fauci.

Again, Fauci lied about numerous items related to COVID, including the most important item. Where COVID came from. He came out with his lies to cover his tracks and the culpability of the scientific community. Then when all the evidence and studies made it crystal clear that it came from the Wuhan Lab, he refused to come clean and doubled down on his lies.

Fauci lied about a few other things (including the cloth masks early on that did NOT protect people) but he also did a great job helping push GOOD information to fight COVID, including encouraging people to get vaccinated.

His battle with the anti science, anti vaccine crowd was a sad example of what the anti vaccine crowd feels was a crime by Fauci.

Keep in mind that in 2020, before we learned these facts about Anthony Fauci, I was his biggest cheerleader:

Keep in mind too, that Rand Paul is actually a Libertarian at odds with most of the R supported, Donald Trump ruinous agenda(like the war in Iran and tariffs). He is a medical doctor and although this is personal for him and it is political, it's also very justified based on all the authentic facts.

And this experimenting with virus's that CREATED COVID, then allowing it to escape from the Wuhan Lab was ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE for tens of trillions in damages to the world and millions of lives of people that did not need to die!!!

So this is much more than James Comey copying an image of numbers formed with sea shells on a beach and putting it on the internet and the Rs/Trump persecuting him for that.

It's actually in a complete, justified class of its own as opposed to Trump's weaponizing the criminal justice system to seek vengeance on his enemies and the Rs being part of it.

Let's make no mistake about this. Anthony Fauci knew from the get go that they created this virus in the Wuhan lab and they (accidentally) let it escape and this was 100% responsible for this horrible global epidemic.

Instead of telling the truth, he and his scientific partners in crime manufactured a huge lie about how it came from nature and focused all their resources on pushing the lie to cover up WHAT THEY DID!!!

Accidents happen, right? If he/they had just fessed up, it wouldn't have changed the course that COVID took, once it escaped. However, knowing the truth is a key to understanding it and AVOIDING A REPEAT. Using this accident as profound evidence to BAN future experiments like this.

The huge cover up was as intentional of a crime as it gets.

You might remember that Nixon didn't resign over the initial act, which started with the Rs breaking into and bugging/wiretapping the DNC headquarters which many think he didn't even know about.

He resigned because after he found out, he played a key role in trying to COVER UP THE CRIME!

Fauci not only played a role in the initial, risky experimenting with dangerous virus's which was not a crime because it was legally authorized and funded.

His crime was playing such a huge role in the covering up of their accident.

Pleading the 5th had to be excruciatingly painful for Fauci.

He has testified before Congress over 100 times and is one of the best, convincing communicators on the planet........even when he blatantly lied about the origin of COVID.

He almost always makes those questioning him look bad and him look good.

Not testifying, allowed his attackers to just provided 1 sided, convincing sounding attacks and information without any rebuttal and him refusing to respond because his response might incriminate him.

It made the Rs look justified and Fauci look extremely bad and this was an intentional strategy, apparently from the advice of his attorney to protect him.

When Biden pardoned Fauci it was only for offenses thru January 2025. Rand Paul and the Rs wanted Fauci to tell some of his previous lies UNDER OATH in July 2026 so they could show the evidence of them being lies to charge him with perjury.

Even if 96% of what Fauci stated was the truth and made the Rs look bad, the other 4%(arbitrary %) that he lied about, even 1% would be lying under oath that they can show to be a lie and charge him with.

Based on what Fauci did and has said in the past there was no way for Fauci to tell the truth about everything unless he admitted to lying before under oath. The 5th amendment was his only choice.  That just have been very tough for him.

But he didn't do it for anything else except protecting Anthony Fauci. If he REALLY wanted to help Americans and the world in July 2026, he would tell the truth about the lab leak and several other ethics violations that he either knew about or played a role in but again, that would require admitting that he lied for many years about them in the past.

Aside: I’m glad to see he’s still healthy looking and sounding good for his age (~85.5)!

For sure, Larry!

Anthony Fauci is a freak of nature and looks younger than another freak, non aging brain Bernie Sanders.

Both of them are still near the top of their game an example that it isn't age that should disqualify candidates but HOW they age.

The images we get of Mitch McConnell make him LOOK great but age and the polio that he suffered as a youth have, unfortunately taken a toll on his body.

The first 22:15 of this is Lawrence O’Donnell from tonight’s The Last Word defending Dr. Fauci in his monologue:

Yep, my opinion exactly in 2020 and previously, Larry!

But unlike Lawrence that views everything in the world thru his far left, tunnel vision,  I try my best to use authentic facts and the scientific method(fact checking the sources that I believe in not just those I don't want to believe in)  I let the authentic facts take me to another place that dialed in what Fauci actually did related to  causing COVID and covering up what he and fellow scientists covered up.

So we have several schools of thought here.

1. Should Fauci get a free pass, because of his enormous contributions to human kind, even if he played a role in causing COVID and covering up what he did?

2. If you help save X number of lives, does that negate causing the deaths of X+Y number of lives.

3. Should we only look at the accident of releasing COVID from the lab as an accident.

4. Like with Nixon's actions after the Rs got busted with their crimes, should we instead put a lot of weighting in THE COVER UP OF THE CRIME?

I am strongly in the #4 category. Not only does it crystal clearly define Fauci's mindset, actions and words about the lab leak of the virus to cover it up but it's also consistent with THE LAWS.

AI Overview

Covering up a crime is a serious legal offense that typically results in charges such as obstruction of justice, accessory after the fact, tampering with evidence, or misprision of a felony. The specific charges and penalties depend on how you hid the crime, your intent, and whether the case is handled at the state or federal level. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]Common Criminal Charges for a Cover-UpWhen an individual intentionally hides a crime, they can face one or multiple distinct charges: [1, 2]
  • Obstruction of Justice: An umbrella charge used when someone intentionally interferes with the administration of law. This includes lying to investigators, destroying documents, or intimidating witnesses. [1, 2]
  • Accessory After the Fact: Charged when someone knows a felony was committed and actively helps the offender avoid arrest, trial, or punishment. Examples include harboring a fugitive or hiding stolen goods. [1, 2]
  • Tampering with Evidence: Deliberately destroying, altering, or concealing physical or digital evidence (like deleting text messages) to make it unavailable for an investigation.

I enjoy listening to Lawrence on Donald Trump and other topics but always know who I'm listening to. I'm getting the views of somebody that will almost always give us 1 side, with viewers and listeners that tune in to hear THAT side.

Like Fox, he is all about ratings, generating them by appealing to an audience that avoids Fox and vice versa.

No photo description available.

As you know, I spend a great deal of time speaking out against the Rs in Congress right now  but unlike Lawrence, I am NOT political, I don't reap ratings or any benefits for it and I also defend Rs and even Donald Trump when the authentic, NON POLITICAL facts justify it.

And my favorite posts here, are not the ones that agree with me but posts like this that challenge my position, especially from a poster here that has shown nothing but intelligence, objectivity, tremendous character and respect for others in every way, shape and form.

And I am blessed to have people like this as friends!

Especially in the age of social media where human beings are often treated like words on a computer screen, instead of connecting them to the person expressing those words, who has feelings and thoughts which deserve consideration.

In addition, in a world of political polarization this particular issue is the quintessential example of 2 sides that are diametrically opposed polar opposites.

Same person, same topic, same facts but each side has decided to believe whatever supports their political affiliation and ignore everything that doesn't support it.

The stronger your affiliation to your party, the more convinced you are of Fauci's guilt or innocence.

At the hearing yesterday, every D vehemently defended Fauci and accused the Rs of nefarious political objectives, while every R slammed him with extreme venom.

If I knew nothing about the authentic facts, I would have been convinced that the Ds were on the right side and the Rs were just acting like they have been since Donald Trump started his 2nd term.

But I DO know the authentic facts! And not from a distance.

There were almost 100 COVID threads and 1,000 posts here. For a nearly 2 year period, I spent more time tracking COVID and passing on information to readers here than I did doing anything else during my day.

I also spent a bunch of time defending Fauci against the far rights unjustified attacks.

But again, all those threads/posts show is that your party defines your opinion.

That is NOT the case for Larry/WxFollower who follows the facts and truth and thinks INDEPENDENT of both parties.

Thanks, Mike. I try my best as I know you and many others do.

But with the GOP so bad since 2016 imho, it’s very hard to take the GOP’s side on much of anything any more despite giving Trump credit where I thought credit was due like for Operation Warp Speed and getting illegal immigration down to very low levels after the Biden/Harris disaster at the border.
