There’s a lot of chatter about Congress passing and then DT signing into law year-round DST. Are we going to repeat the failed experiment of 1974 that lead to several children being killed in the morning? Rumor has it that DT MAY be announcing his intentions about this this afternoon. Regardless, this may happen, like it or not, though individual states may be able to opt out. Keep in mind that this would help the golfing industry and DT is a regular golfer. Not only would it likely help his golf planning, it is being lobbied for by the golf industry. Follow the $!

This would not be good for wx enthusiasts or wx traders as it would mean models coming out one hour later than standard time all year long instead of just Mar-Oct. can you imagine having to stay up til 1AM CDT even in winter for most of the 0Z Euro to be released?!? :(

The president, once again, calls for year-round daylight saving time

Joe Gatling, a golfer and a gardener, favors year-round Daylight Saving Time. “This would give me more opportunities … in golf [and] gardening]that is a little bit longer, so I’ll go for it,” said Gatling.
