Trump claims US controls strait of Hormuz and Iran 'doesn't know who its leader is
Donald Trump has claimed the US has “total control” of the strait of Hormuz, as he berated Iran for “not knowing” who its leader is.
Donald Trump has changed his reasoning and tactics a dozen times. Deadlines of 48 hours, then 5 days, then 10 days, then 48 hours or he will end civilization in Iran, then a cease fire, then back threatening to bombing all the bridges and power plants, then suddenly, yesterday after that latest deadline passed and Iran didn't give him what he wanted.........he's got a brand new strategy.
Suspend everything the way it is, with no consequences, including we found out today, letting Iran attack and take over non US vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
Hugh?????
This is what appears to be going on.
Looking psychologically into the diabolical mind of this president, who is constantly obsessed with vengeance and punishing people that don't do what he wants, we know how profoundly ticked off he has been with our NATO allies for not coming in to help him clean up the Donald Trump, serving Bibi Netanyahu mess.
He got totally blind sided because his focus was entirely to please Netanyahu for the adulation his diseased brain craves like the rest of us need oxygen and Netanyahu understands exactly how to use Donald Trump's mental illness to manipulate the most powerful man in the world to serve Israel and betray his own country, the United States.
The United States produces plenty of its own low sulfur, sweet crude oil and just needs to buy small amounts of the high sulfur crude(mainly from Canada and Mexico). It's a global market, so Americans still end up paying MUCH more for our liquid energy but we will NOT run out, like they are running out in Asia and Europe. Places that are in the biggest energy crisis in history because they get almost all of their oil from the Middle East.
We have way more natural gas then needed and export a great deal so this actually helps our export market. However, other countries get most of their natural gas and fertilizer from the Strait of Hormuz.
So Donald Trump, standing on top of our own supplies gushing in to us, has decided to punish our extremely vulnerable allies and the rest of the world for not jumping in to help him clean up his mess.
This is truly diabolical!
Today, he allowed Iran to attack our allies ships and did nothing, said nothing because this is his vengeance against our own allies for not participating in his unjustified war AFTER he bombed Iran without trying to form a coalition with any allies.
Initially, when Great Britain offered assistance he called them off and claimed they were trying to steal some of his glory away because he already won the war and didn't need anybody else's help.

++++++++++=
I believe that 1 of the ships was from Greece and 1 was from Panama.
Donald Trump's response today after week's of extreme threats and language for doing anything like this?
They weren't American ships, so it's ok. He is allowing this to happen and for Iran to continue to block passage of oil thru the Strait of Hormuz to punish the rest of the world for not cleaning up his mess!!!
It doesn't matter how much oil the US has. Americans are being severely punished too by the higher gas prices. Higher diesel for truck transportation of goods. Higher jet fuel costs. Higher fertilizer prices for our farmers and higher food prices.
The global cost to this war is well into the double digit trillions. With a madman at the helm, being manipulated by the psychopath from Israel on one end and the world's most evil, state sponsor of terrorism at the other end........while NOT serving the American people.
Serving Israel for adulation, doling out revenge and doing things based on profoundly pathological thinking which his diseased brain( with progressive dementia) interprets as contributing to his legacy of conquest as one of the greatest American presidents in history.
Iran knows what the price of gas and other items are doing to Americans and how they view Donald Trump and the Rs as they get more and more upset because of this unprovoked and unjustified war of his. This is a huge part of their strategy.
The US military obliterated Iran in the war using weapons.
Iran is obliterating Donald Trump in all the other war related realms In the United States and especially the rest of the world..........except for Israel, where he's an extremely popular man.
Lowest popularity in history in the United States, the country that he's betrayed.
Highest popularity in Israel, the country that he serves.
OK, since yesterday's strategy, described on the previous page to let Iran take ships completely backfired(again), it's back to another version of the older, failed strategies today, April 23, 2026.
President says forces can ‘shoot and kill’ any boat laying mines and claims the US has ‘total control’ of the strait
Donald Trump has claimed the US has “total control” of the strait of Hormuz, as he berated Iran for “not knowing” who its leader is.
His latest remarks followed an earlier postsaying he ordered the US Navy “to shoot and kill”any boat “that is putting mines in the waters of the strait of Hormuz.”
He also said that US minesweepers were working “at a tripled up level” to clear any mines from the waters.

1. Yesterday's news suggested that the US did NOT have control of the Strait of Hormuz..or was intentionally letting them attack/control non US ships.
2. Berating Iran over not knowing who it's leaders are, contradicts previous statements claiming to be making agreements with Iran's leaders.
3. Tune in tomorrow, April 24, 2026 to get the latest, ever changing version of what Donald Trump wants the world to think about his self inflicted, unjustified Iranian quagmire.
4. The Iranians are winning this part of the war. NO, I'm NOT rooting for Iran, just giving authentic facts and waiting for the R gatekeepers to get a wake up call message strong enough to override their delusional, morally bankrupt programming so they remove Donald Trump from office..........or just wait until the election and let the Ds do it.

https://days.to/us-midterm-elections/2026

5. The craziest thing of all is that we’ve accepted this as the “new normal”. Compare what Richard Nixon did that resulted in him resigning from office to things that Donald Trump does almost every day, many much worse than Nixon and gets away with.

Trump’s Iran messaging seems desperate.

We might be setting the table for Donald Trump claiming to have stopped another war(in Lebanon).
And Netanyahu coming to Washington to do a special presentation nominating Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace prize again like his did last Summer after Donald Trump bombed Iran for him…..after he sabotaged Trumps peace talks with Iran by bombing Iran, then telling Trump to bomb Iran.
With all the bought and paid for, morally bankrupt Rs (and Mark Fetterman) cheering to demonstrate who OWNS THEM!
Whatever they agree to, odds are extremely high that Israel will do like they continue to do in Gaza, violate, violate, VIOLATE and justify with complete nonsense/lies.
And the Rs in Congress will continue to sell their souls to the lobby money devils.
The Ds do it too.
Lost in all of this by US reporters is that this is the worst global energy crisis in history, caused by Donald Trump, who yesterday made it clear that his diabolical strategy is the one that I pointed out to start out this thread.
He proclaimed ”I have all the time in the world” while the already worst energy crisis in history for the world gets worse every day.
He’s happy to just punish the United States States with high prices because we produce most of the crude that we need.
He’s happy to gift 10s of billions of dollars to Putin by lifting the sanctions and give him record profits for the extremely high prices Russia is now getting on the global market for their needed oil.
He’s happy is willing to do this to punish our allies (who he did not include in any decisions for this war because they disagreed with him) for not jumping in to clean up the catastrophic p, global energy market mess that Donald Trump created because his diseased brain completely ignored this outcome, instead it was manipulated by the diabolical conniver from Israel who uses over the top adulation of Donald Trump like dangling a heroin fix to a jonesing addict.
The trillions in ADDITIONAL economic damage that he knows WILL take place. The tremendous harm to billions of people, especially poor people.(who he hates in the United States because they didn’t vote for him).
Donald Trump has easily done more damage to the world in just over 1 year than any person since Adolf Hitler, by an extremely wide margin over #2.
He has done more damage to the United States than any person in our country’s 250 year history by an order of magnitude.
But there Have been many thousands of psychopaths and millions Americans with progressive dementia.
The 1 difference here is that we are not just enabling him as the most powerful man in the world, we are giving great grandpa, who has totaled 5 cars and killed a dozen people a brand new Mack truck for his 80th birthday so he can drive it thru the playground loaded with children ……..instead of taking his car keys away.
Pretending he really isn’t mentally ill, delusional and demented. Instead, being described by Fox News as too brilliant for the rest of us to understand his omnipotent decision making.
Now, getting behind his latest devious scheme to use the global energy crisis to punish our allies for not coming in to clean up the mess that he caused!!!
The United States under the leadership of Donald Trump has become a dangerous, rogue state that is causing permanent, massive damage to MOST countries and decimating the relationships between the United States and those countries.
And We’re letting him do it!!!
The Rs in Congress continue to block ALL attempts by the Ds to slow him down.
November is much too long to wait. 6 more months of this will result in additional damage that can’t even be estimated…….including to the future of the R party being hurt the most, ironically.……even while the R party gatekeepers pretend this is a new normal and we should all accept it and pretend as if it’s not really, exactly what it really is.
I just read that the Sec of Navy may have been fired because he didn’t agree with silencing the great American, Sen Mark Kelly:
“BREAKING: Fox News just reported that Pete Hegseth fired United States Secretary of the Navy John Phelan because Phelan would not ignore a federal judge's orders!’Hegseth and Phelan reportedly butted heads when Phelan refused to ignore a recent federal judge’s ruling that said punishing Senator Mark Kelly for making a video which he reminded military officers of their constitutional duty to not to not follow illegal orders would violate his First Amendment rights.’”

Hegseth got this job by being a weekend anchor at Fox News who adulated Trump during his time there!
Pirro is the 23rd current or former Fox News employee Trump has recruited for his administration since taking office earlier this year. However, his relationship with the network runs far deeper and longer than just this year nominees.

The insatiable ego: why some people need constant flattery
So these individuals must continually look outward to know who they are. They need to see themselves reflected as great, admirable, brilliant, victorious, not because they genuinely believe these qualities reside within, but because they fear they do not. The mirror is not for preening; it is for survival.
Trump’s orbit reveals this pattern with almost clinical clarity. Aides who deliver praise are elevated. Those who offer truth are exiled. Advisors who flatter remain close; those who contradict are replaced. He constructs a world in which disagreement is treason and doubt is disloyalty. Only admiration feels safe. Only devotion feels tolerable. Only affirmation soothes the internal tremors.
For those who depend on flattery to prop up their self-worth, criticism is not merely unpleasant; it is existentially threatening. As noted before, praise is oxygen. Criticism is suffocation.
Over time, the leader becomes isolated inside a bubble of praise, precisely the condition that worsens the fragility at their core.
Again, Trump illustrates this structure with almost theatrical clarity. His firing patterns, midnight tirades, public feuds, impulsive purges, and explosive reactions to even the gentlest criticism reveal a psyche that experiences dissent not as democratic discourse but as a personal wound. Staff members routinely describe entering meetings prepared not with facts but with flattery, knowing that one misplaced comment could ignite hours of fury. Foreign leaders who discovered this dynamic exploited it; domestic rivals suffered beneath it.
In such environments, truth no longer functions as a shared standard; it becomes a provocation. Disagreement is interpreted not as a contribution but as betrayal. Correction feels like humiliation. Delay feels like defiance. Reality itself becomes negotiable. Those who tell inconvenient truths are dismissed as traitors; those who flatter are elevated as visionaries. Policy becomes indistinguishable from psychology. What the leader needs emotionally determines what the government attempts politically.
The consequences are far from abstract. Entire systems begin tiptoeing around one person’s fragility. Intelligence agencies soften their briefings. Legislators tend to mute criticism to avoid retribution. Diplomats recalibrate alliances around a leader’s vanity rather than strategic interest. Government becomes a mirror palace, calibrated to reflect only one person’s preferred image back to him. The irony is that leaders who demand constant praise believe they are projecting strength — yet everyone else can see that they are merely shielding weakness. Their power looks immense, but their emotional life is flimsy, breakable, desperate for applause. And because they cannot bear being ordinary, the country is forced to participate in a national performance designed to keep them feeling extraordinary.
This is the tragic nucleus of flattery-addicted leaders: people loudly performing invincibility while internally clinging to praise as if it were oxygen. They preside over a kingdom of mirrors — shimmering, reflective, and catastrophically fragile. And the public pays the price for the instability at the core, bearing the burden of governing around an ego that must be endlessly managed, appeased, and inflated. In the end, the nation bends more than the leader does, contorting itself around a single, unsteady psyche. And what begins as a personality disorder becomes a political disorder — one in which the country must continually shield its most powerful figure from the sharp edges of reality.

Netanyahu praises Trump's 'bold decision' to strike Iranian nuclear sites
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL4rmsJHX08
After watching that video, ask yourself how anything he said could be true if less than 9 months after it, Israel and the United States had to start a NEW war with Iran.
Bibi Netanyahu would make an excellent diabolical psychiatrist! He knows how Donald Trump's mind works and is using it ……exploiting it to the MAX to accomplish his own agenda in Iran.
++++++++++++++
Continuing from the article:
Flattery addiction is, in the end, both tragically human and painfully absurd. Tragic, because it reveals a psyche so precarious that it cannot stand without constant propping. Absurd, because the props must be rebuilt every day, like a stage set that collapses each night and must be reassembled before the curtain rises again. The flattery-addicted person must be inflated endlessly because they cannot tolerate being human-sized. Their emotional life becomes a loop: praise enters, but it never adheres. Approval is absorbed and immediately evaporates. The ego drinks but never hydrates. No amount of applause lasts until morning.
And the final irony, the one that turns this entire psychological structure from merely tragic to genuinely heartbreaking, is that those who need flattery the most intensely are the least capable of feeling loved. Love, unlike flattery, requires vulnerability. Love requires reciprocity, humility, the willingness to be seen without the armor of performance. Love demands an emotional nakedness that the flattery-addicted personality cannot risk. Praise reassures; love exposes. Praise stabilizes; love transforms. And transformation is precisely what they fear most.
Thus they remain trapped in a gilded psychological cage of their own making, surrounded by people but starving for connection, fed by applause but famished for affection. The world may see confidence, dominance, swagger, command. But beneath the spectacle lies a person who fears that without constant applause, they will collapse into the emptiness they have spent their entire lives trying not to feel.
