“We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine,” Austin told reporters, according to a transcript.
His remarks on Monday are perhaps the most explicit yet from a White House official on the Biden administration’s goals in the conflict, representing a sharpening of rhetoric toward the Russian government as the conflict enters its third month. Austin made the comments while speaking with Blinken at a press conference in Poland, a day after the pair visited Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on providing more military assistance.
The above from the Epoch Times
I would say the Chinese communists certainly weakened the US during our time in Vietnam but for some reason nobody would admit who we were fighting. Same thing for Korea. And we have had Russia on the opposite side sometimes too. But when our silly unqualified idiots from Dc go to Ukraine and give there loose speech about such things it makes me wonder how in the hell did Biden become President to appoint such naïve but tender unidentified gender specific diversified aids.
Put simply, it seems that Solovyov was never in any real danger. This incident strongly appears to be just another Russian false flag invention.
metmike: The problem is that cognitively compromised Biden gave it away a month ago, with an off the charts major gaff. Based on the long history of the US(doing this sort of thing dozens of times to other countries, when we didn't like the leadership) we almost have to ASSUME WITH HIGH CONFIDENCE that the US has numerous plans to help get Putin out of office. Of course they do!!!
Biden let the cat out of the bag, so Putin's accusation is credible. He may be completely wrong about this particular plot but maybe he's right? Even if not about this plot, who really thinks that the US does not have several secret strategies/plots actively pursuing the removal of Putin?
Biden told us they do when he made this statement.

Putin's rhetoric will be seen by the CIA and its British counterpart, MI6, the apparent target of a Putin shoutout against those who view the world in an "old fashioned way, based on their colonial past," as indicative of a real threat. Russian intelligence services act with physical aggression against Western intelligence officers where the Kremlin seeks to deter foreign intelligence activity and escalate political pressure. Critically important, Russia's appetite for this aggression increases in tandem with the absence of a robust riposte to the aggression.
This is relevant in the context of the so-called Havana Syndrome or "Anomalous Health Incidents," which have afflicted CIA officers around the world. While some incidents are the result of misidentified ailments or psychological conditions, contrary to the U.S. government's public statements, there is credible and varied evidence to suggest that Russia bears responsibility for other incidents — namely via radio frequency pulsed energy attacks. These attacks appear to have utility as a means of both technical intelligence collection, including stealing information off computers, as deliberate physical attacks. Those targeted possibly include former President George W. Bush, former first lady Laura Bush, and others.
Regardless, Putin's rhetoric evinces his escalating frustration over the failed progress of Russian forces in Ukraine and the success of Western intelligence services in assisting in Ukraine's defense.
The article from the Examiner, brings out some interesting points, related to this below. While I'm not suggesting that this is something they will use against Putin or that the reports of its use against the CIA are accurate, it clearly has applications being used in the real world as noted by the numerous examples that are extraordinarily interesting.

"Ultrasonic weapon" redirects here. Not to be confused with hypersonic weapon.
A long-range acoustic device (LRAD) in use on the USS Blue Ridge
Sonic and ultrasonic weapons (USW) are weapons of various types that use sound to injure or incapacitate an opponent. Some sonic weapons make a focused beam of sound or of ultrasound; others produce an area field of sound. As of 2021 military and police forces make some limited use of sonic weapons.
Sorry to shift the topic a bit cutworm. I can't NOT go off in a different direction when something new and profound is stumbled on during the original discussion.
Maybe you guys already knew about this but not me.
Thanks for starting this thread cutworm!

personally, i think we should not get too heavily involved. even if we want to see the russian military weakend, our leaders should not publicly state that as if it is a policy.
the best outcome would be like the afghan problem, where the russians get bogged down, and eventually pull out because they see they will not succeed.
i do not want our leaders to ramp it up into a direct confrontation between the u.s. vs russia.
we need to be careful to not turn it into WW3.
i also think we need to be careful to not push too many people to create alternative systems to the pro-western, pro-dollar financial network.
What were the reasons for the US to enter some previous wars. Not like this one, where no brave US soldiers are being killed but like all the wars that killed many hundreds of thousands of often patriotic but sometimes forced US soldiers to die in.
