https://news.yahoo.com/sotomayor-falsely-claims-100-000-185529971.html   really shocked this never made more waves. Imagine an unqualified lib placed in a position she never should of been. Now it comes a time she has to judge one of the major policy decisions of the day. Then she comes out and totally proves she knows not a wit about the subject at hand. Wow if this does not display the mess America finds itself in today's world. And then to top it, hardly makes a ripple in the MSM. Pretty scary stuff  if you care about maintain a constitutional republic. Of course is you trying to end that republic things are going just swell.

Wonderful mcfarm,

1 person mispoke about 1 fact which basically represents .000000001% of the COVID/COVID vaxx information out there and this is what you post about?

Try as you might, you aren't going to turn this place into a MISinformation echo chamber.

Even Gunter failed with several hundreds of COVID/vax MISinformation posts. The Big Lie couldn't get any traction here either after hundreds of posts without being confronted with the truth and obliterated.

Wouldn't it be much more productive to open your mind and try to learn a few things instead of you repeating/passing on the latest from FOX or the far right?  Most people here already go to those sites, including me to hear/read what they say.

When they make good points, which is some of the time, I post them here too.

However, I can tell the difference between GOOD POINTS and MISinformation.

I sincerely mean that mcfarm as a friend.

misspoke? really? where did you get that facto? Unless you can document that I do not believe for a moment she misspoke. I believe she visits terrible web sites that provide her with terrible information. Your go to response.
And furthermore would you not think the person who has the power entrusted to her to decide this matter for millions of Americans would do her due diligence and research the matter if for no other reason than not to embarrass herself?

100,000 children vs about 3000, in an argument to determine the severity of covid, and MM calls it miniscule.

Great example of objective thinking there.   Sotomayer, being a liberal drone, is likely to agree with MM that the government must take control of our lives "For our own good", so she must be defended at all coats.

So much for objective truth seeking.

he not only calls it miniscule he literally mocks me for asking about the why and where of the subject. Does that indicate the "closed mind theory" or just  "let big gov handle it" because us peons would never understand the intricacies the deep thinking it requires to be an elite who stands in judgment

metmike, remember, the supreme court often has  lots of power.  and one person on the court can swing a decision.  their decisions can really impact millions of people.   as far as i am concerned it is terrible if they believe in bad info, and let this guide their judgement.

a judge should do a better job of making sure they get their info correct, before they pass judgement on an issue.

this tells me that her political bias is probably more important to her than getting her facts straight.

if you think that i have false info on a topic, that does NOT in any way force a policy on millions of citizens.

I didn't mean to suggest that this was MISinformation being spread by mcfarm as this key, one person did get this one fact incorrect this one time.........as I stated previously and apologize if that's what you thought.

Fact-checking Sonia Sotomayor’s figures on kids with severe COVID-19

The number of coronavirus-positive pediatric hospitalizations has risen with the spread of omicron. However, Sotomayor’s number is way off.

https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2022/fact-checking-sonia-sotomayors-figures-on-kids-with-severe-covid-19/

However, my point is that many tens of thousands of mostly republicans are dying being they focus all their attention on far right MISinformation and are just looking for anything to confirm their off the charts blatant cognitive bias that has been drilled into their heads by far right sources that COVID isn't really bad.........it's only killing 2% of the people.......you recover really quick and are back to good health in no time.

My wife's main plater, Billy finally came back today after being morbidly sick for a month. He's lost 25 lbs and is extremely weak. Her production had to shut down for much of December because of all the unvaccinated people getting COVID and not being able to work.

Billy, in October insisted that there was a chip in the vaccines and that he would never get vaccinated, not matter what.  In December, during the peak of his illness, he said that if he recovers, the first thing he's doing is getting vaccinate(obviously too late).

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/79442/#79443

Similar stories are played out across America in many places.

The data and statistics are off the charts profoundly telling of the protection that getting vaccinated has to the lives and health of ALL Americans.

But the far right wants to not just ignore this but spew MISinformation to cause people to think its the complete opposite of this............and cause massive numbers of people, mostly from their own party to die.

As if getting really sick and/or dying is a freedom and getting other people really sick and causing them to die is a freedom and that getting vaccinated doesn't really INCREASE your freedoms to do things.........because it really does.

And that vaccine's are really dangerous.........they have tiny risks.

Vaccines have been twisted to mean the 100% opposite of what they really do, entirely for republican politics to resist the government and sabotage Biden's success.

That's not what friends do!!

I'm your sincere friend and you don't know it!!

I'm not here for MY health and don't get paid for it. I'm here for America's health and YOUR health and understanding of the truth and regardless of your own belief about COVID or other things..........  you know that's the 100% truth.

90,000 US COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented

The most fundamental right that trumps every other right is the right to know the objective truth.

The truth arms you/us with the information needed to understand/interpret situations so that you/we can apply your/our political, ethical/moral, medical and other belief systems to the maximum so that you/we are best served to meet your/our objectives.

So that our country is best served.

That’s the main reason that I’m here.

I do not understand that statement. How do you immediately jump to "misspoke" where did that ever come from and why are you trying to sell it....My God if anyone dares to say Trump "misspoke" we would in for a 3  page diatribe. So just to get the rules correct are libs the only one who can "misspeak" and if so how often and on what topics. Does anything go or is it just when really important issues come up, like the supreme court deciding policy?

What is your problem mcfarm?

Your far right sources have you in a permanent rage mode???

I provided the fact check with the correct information.

What is your deal with you carrying on about me referring to this as misspoke? Clearly, you are just wanting to fight and that seems to be your mood most of the time now a days.

Words related to misspeak

https://www.dictionary.com/browse/misspoken

error, gaffe, lapse, miscue, misjudgment, recklessness, deceive, mislead, misrepresent, promote, crudeness, excitability, folly, foolishness, gaucherie, goof, goof-up, hastiness, imprudence, indiscreetness

I do very much appreciate your rare positive contributions (that used to be numerous) but the fact is human beings  feel better when they make positive contributions and try to get along with others.

I'm saying that as a friend mcfarm!
