Publisher Simon & Schuster announced on April 7 that it would release an autobiography by Pence in 2023. Soon afterward, employees at the company circulated petitions urging the publisher to cancel the book deal.

"By choosing to publish Mike Pence, Simon & Schuster is generating wealth for a central figure of a presidency that unequivocally advocated for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, anti-Blackness, xenophobia, misogyny, ableism, islamophobia, antisemitism, and violence," one online petition read, per The Journal. "This is not a difference of opinions; this is legitimizing bigotry."

The effort was unsuccessful. Simon & Schuster CEO Jonathan Karp said Tuesday that the book will go ahead as planned, WSJ reported.

metmike: Another attempt to censor  a person that they don't agree with. Only certain idealogies and opinions will be allowed!

PALM BEACH — Staking his claim to the Republican Party, former President Donald Trump is casting his populist policies and attack-dog politics as the key to future GOP success.

In a closed-door speech Saturday night to donors at his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump also reinforced his commitment to the party, according to remarks obtained by The Associated Press. Going off script, however, Trump slammed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., as a “stone-cold loser” and mocked McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, who was Trump’s transportation secretary.

metmike: Trump is still insisting that the election was stolen from him and even blaming 2 powerful people in his party for the loss that were some of his strongest supporters for 4 years.

He is on a course to destroy any hopes the Republicans have in the future. The democrats are jumping for joy as he does more damage to his pwn party than even Joe Biden's bad agenda does to give reasons for the Republicans to unite.

Praise for Trump, attacks on Biden, silence on Jan. 6: Mike Pence makes first speech since leaving office in pivotal SC

Pence is a class act that has integrity and principles. He's very likeable person. For Trump to be trashing him, his VP for 4 years that has never uttered an unkind word about Trump(though he would have all the reasons and ammo)  speaks volumes about the character of both Trump and  Pence.....polar opposites.

If Pence runs for president, he has my vote!
