In one of the early seasons of The Sopranos, Tony Sopranos got his hooks into the owner of a sporting goods store. He ran up their debit, stole all their assets, and pretty much ruined the owner's life.

Tony's son got a really great car out of it.

I believe the Trump Crime Family got their hooks SOLID into the GOP. They have leadership bowing and scraping PUBLICALLY in the most spectacularly demeaning way. If our creaky system of checks and balances manages to clear out the rot, there will not be much left of the GOP.
