Is it assault rifles?

Or beneficial CO2?

Or mcfarn?  OOPS.  Sorry.  I got him confused with a device.

well since the left has accused co2 of being the largest pollutant and trees love co2 I would guess trees

2 things please.

1. No caps, this is considered shouting. Please remove the caps for me.

2. Making it worse is what you are shouting about. I understand that you are making a joke but we can't have you making jokes at the expense of other posters that you dislike in that context.

Even if this doesn't bother you, that doesn't matter with my current ruling. This is uncharted territory for me and I may tighten or loosen my standards based on what seems best as we move along.

Thanks for the responses and guesses.

I actually liked mcfarms the best and had never thought of trees that way(as somebody with the mindset of CO2 being a beneficial gas).

Tim wins with his answer of the catalytic convertor.  Of course this is MY opinion. Some people have different answers and some people think that since catalytic converters MAKE CO2, that they cause global warming pollution.

However, with over 1 billion vehicles in use around the planet, the catalytic converter's power is multiplied by 1 billion to reduce local air pollution.

A three-way catalytic converter has three simultaneous tasks:[19]

Reduction of nitrogen oxides to nitrogen (N2)

  • 2 CO + 2 NO → 2 CO2 + N2
  • hydrocarbon + NO → CO2 + H2O + N2
  • 2 H2 + 2 NO → 2 H2O + N2

Oxidation of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide

  • 2 CO + O2 → 2 CO2

Oxidation of unburnt hydrocarbons (HC) to carbon dioxide and water, in addition to the above NO reaction

  • hydrocarbon + O2 → H2O + CO2

Bar chart comparing effectiveness of two- and three-way catalytic converters at reducing emission of hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxide, and carbon monoxide.

Well, if trees help control pollution, think of what algae does---probably 1000 times more than what trees contribute.
