break out or fake out?  

the interest rate on the 10 yr  popped above 3%,  then went back down for now.  

even more interesting,  in europe, the last month or so there has been a sharp divergence in bond prices

(and interest rates) between northern europe and southern europe.  

for example interest rate in germany are going down (bond prices up), but in italy rates are going up (bond

prices down).
