sinking to new lows

If you asked someone to  list all of the things Pres Trump does and says that are "unpresidential", even Trump supporters could come up with a few.

However, never have I seen a "distinguished " member of Congress sink to such lows.

This is simply trashy, trailer-park style behavior.

And this, ...uh.... person is the "new face of the Dem Party?

Ms. Tlaib, whether you like him or not, he is still Mr. President to you

mcfarm,

I was a young democrat in the 70's/80's and can't conceive of anything like what is going now.

Much of it is about tribalism.

Also, the gatekeepers of information have managed to get such a powerful franchise/control of the narratives,  so that they can manufacture realities that don't actually exist in a world of people that have lost critical thinking skills to decern what is the truth and what is not.

Once you get somebody to believe something, for instance the completely bogus but altruistic sounding "there is a climate crisis/emergency and only we have the secret to saving the planet for our children and those that disagree are greedy, evil, selfish, anti science deniers" narrative, they process all new information so that it lines up with that belief system.

Trump is evil...(one can add another 10 unkind words to that). He is the meanest president ever by a wide margin so that was easy to sell. Once you believe that, everything else falls into place.

Dial in the intense hatred for him.......to the point of Americans wanting bad things to happen in America because it makes him look bad and people supporting him are being violated and rejected and you have the most divisive country since the civil war.

In climate science, when this atmospheric scientist states the truth and authentic science and proves irrefutably with facts, empirical data and observations that we are having a climate optimum, I'm known as a denier by those that don't want to listen.

In politics when I state the truth and use authentic facts, I'm called a Trump apologist.

The research paper at the link below is 160 pages long. I don't expect many people to actually read it. However, if people want to understand better the divisiveness currently in our country, it's a good starting point.

I don't agree 100% on everything they state, like the MSM's role is MUCH more powerful than most entities believe..........partly because the narratives that  we get from the gatekeepers of information to tell us about the role  of the media, are in fact, often coming from a  favored "mainstream" media source  and the MSM  has always been heavily overweighted with progressive activists(who would naturally be drawn to a profession like this, because they feel compelled to communicate messages to others)  that abuse their role as journalists, turning it into a way to impose their political beliefs on to trusting viewers/readers.

Don't let my view on this deter you from taking my recommendation for reading this objective report.

"Trump is evil".   I've never heard ANY news source say that.

Is that an "authentic fact"?

"Trump is evil".   I've never heard ANY news source say that.

Is that an "authentic fact"?

From CNN:

University psychiatrist: Trump 'may be responsible for many more million deaths' than Hitler, Stalin, and Mao

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/duke-psychiatrist-trump-may-be-responsible-for-many-more-million-deaths-than-hitler-stalin-and-mao

To make it "authentic" for you: Snopes

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/psychiatrist-hitler-stalin-and-mao/

From The Washington Post:

Don't compare Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. It belittles Hitler ...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/

From the Atlantic:

          Jeffrey Goldberg

"In an October 2016 editorial, The Atlantic wrote of Donald Trump: “He is a demagogue, a xenophobe, a sexist, a know-nothing, and a liar.” We argued that Trump “expresses admiration for authoritarian rulers, and evinces authoritarian tendencies himself.” Trump, we also noted, “is easily goaded, a poor quality for someone seeking control of America’s nuclear arsenal. He is an enemy of fact-based discourse; he is ignorant of, and indifferent to, the Constitution; he appears not to read.”

In retrospect, we may be guilty of understatement."

So here are 50 reasons to trash Trump

https://www.theatlantic.com/unthinkable/

metmike: There are literally thousands of other examples, a few use the word evil, most  use different verbiage because evil is just one word and there so many other unkind/hateful words in the English language to choose from (which is why I said you can pick 10 other words in the previous thread)

Is this authentic enough for you joj?

Or is this just Trump apoligist stuff and the examples Tim and I provided  are shining examples of objective,  professional journalism at its best.
