is in a severe drought and needing to import wheat for the 1st time in many years. They chose Canada so either the USA doesn't have any or yet another country doesn't want to do business with us?

When you say " another country doesn't want to do business with us?", that makes me curious.  Looking at trade data,  it seems the US does business all over the world.

Could you provide a list of all the other countries that don't want to do business with the US?   TIA.

cliff,

The complete opposite of what you are suggesting is true.............look at the actual data below. Wheat inspections, which is what really counts because its business going out to our foreign customers,  not just sales are the highest in numerous years!!

Here's what those weekly #wheat inspections look like with 2 weeks and 1 day left in 2018/19. The second half of the marketing year definitely trended upward.

If your point, instead is that there was a drought in Australia and it was from climate change.............haven't I posted the link that shows global drought has gone down a bit during the last 40 years and the planet is massively greening up enough times already?

There have always been, are right now and will always be massive droughts somewhere on the planet and the area moves around. This is normal. Australia is a very drought prone area...........always has been.

Rainfall has increased, not decreased.

The US Cornbelt is smashing records...............for the least amount of drought in history. Just 1 since 1988,. when 3 would have been average based on the past.

We are experiencing the best weather/climate for life and growing crops in 1,000 years and if you add in the beneficial CO2, the best since humans have walked to earth by a wide margin.

It's known as a climate optimum by objective scientists. The climate crisis is a complete hoax.

Holocene climatic optimum

"Out of 140 sites across the western Arctic, there is clear evidence for conditions warmer than now at 120 sites. At 16 sites, where quantitative estimates have been obtained, local HTM temperatures were on average 1.6±0.8 °C higher than now."

I know that you won't read this but that doesn't mean constantly proving you and your junk science sources wrong might not convert a few more to authentic HONEST science each time.
