Released in 1938. It featured the Stooges, mistaken for college professors at a college for girls, performing "Swingin' The Alphabet" for a classroom of students.
The stooges have hundreds of funny scenes. This song was one of my favorites. I taught it to my wife(who didn't watch the Stooges) and we sang it all the time for our kids growing up and still sing it every once in a while today.
Very good stuff. I can’t do that sort of thing, no rhythm. I can’t do “The Name Game” song for the life of me. Or pig Latin for that matter.
The first college our son taught at the Profs wore “work” robes. Any special occasion and they were expected to wear their “dress” robes. He didn’t go through graduation so didn’t have any, we had to spring for a set.
He was on a two year grant appointment and said he never saw so many talented kids in one place. They really pushed him. Liberal arts school of course. Emphasis on liberal.
mcfarmer,
My wife and daughter could do Pig Latin as fast as they would talk regular English.
Half the time I couldn't tell what they were saying.
Da boys!!
A regular diet of the 3 Stooges was mandatory! Lol
Right up there with Donald, and Daffy!
One of the best from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"
Long time since I have seen that. I remember the gal I took to that movie, thanks for the chance to reminisce.
THANK YOU GOD ...
FOR THE "3 - STOOGES" !
