I tend to get in trouble with my friends on the Left - for obvious reasons.  But, I have also, for a very long time, gotten in trouble with my friends on the Right too - about wealth disparity, debt, and interest rates.  Here is a book that addresses the problems - and looks back to the Bronze Age and ancient Mesopotamia for insights.

I have known for a long time that there is evidence that Julius Caesar was killed by the bankers.  When I read the recent translation of Plutarch, there was evidence of that in his writings.  One interesting thing in this book by Michael Hudson is that there are historians who think Jesus was also put to death because of the bankers.

I don't know if I'll order the book - or just read the review.  The book sounds like a rather tough slog, and this review seems to be a good one.
