1994 – North Korea nuclear weapons program: North Korea and the United States sign an Agreed Framework  that requires North Korea to stop its nuclear weapons program and agree to inspections.

I'd like to say something sarcastic here, but it's been overdone.

1973 – Fred Dryer of the Los Angeles Rams (Fearsome Foursome) becomes the first player in NFL history to score two safeties  in the same game.

I watch that game on TV, and didn't realize at that time how great that feat was. After all, how many defensive  ends even score one safety in their career ?

Ionically, he's probably best known for his role as "Hunter".

Martin Luther is most known as sort of the father of the Protestant Reformation:

The Catholic Church, years later responded with the Counter-Reformation that was started in a great part with the  Council of Trent.

The world is so very different today than it was back then.
