Hi needs a Broker who deals in options
Hi fayq,
stimpy was Jonah Ford. After MF Global raided my 6 figure segregated account on October 31, 2011,(Jon Corrine needed money to meet a massive margin call on a European bond position and he raided the accounts to do it but bankrupted MFG) he suggested that I move all my money to PFG Best., where he was trading. because they really did have the best trading platforms for free.
Little did he know but the owner was committing massive frauds and PFG Best went bankrupt in July 2012. So I lost the returned money from MFG that I moved to that account in addition to the borrowed money to open the new account Right away as I was an extremely active trader back then and didn’t want to wait for money to be returned.
He felt pretty bad and it wasn’t his fault.
Anyway, local had told me around that time frame that he was pretty sick with some disease and didn’t have time to live, so maybe he’s dead even though he was a young guy.
tjc trades a lot of options so he would be a good source if he wants to help you out.
I was deeply saddened to hear about Mr. Ford. The news came as a real shock to me. May God bless the departed soul and grant strength to those who were close to him. The agony and pain you went through is something I can truly relate to on a personal level.
I also remember a trader who used to write under the name Susanah. She was quite active at one time, but I have not seen any recent posts from her either. Hearing such news brings back many memories and reminds me how difficult this journey can be for traders, both emotionally and financially.
I personally went through a very similar situation. I made substantial profits when the market dropped from around t Emini 6140ish area, but unfortunately my local broker defaulted and I lost all of it. What followed was even more difficult, as I became involved in litigation, and my property has been stuck in the case ever since.
Because of these experiences, I have become extremely cautious. I do see potential opportunities in the market over the next few months, but this time my priority is safety, proper risk management, and working only with reliable and trustworthy brokers. Hard lessons have taught me that protecting capital is more important than chasing profits.
fayq,
Sorry you had a bad experience too.
We accept these things and move forward!
I did not confirm that stimpy was dead but over a decade ago, a close friend of his indicated that he had some sort of fatal disease.
Maybe you are thinking of "Susan" who was the most frequent poster here for years.
Susan was actually a man and coincidentally, HE died over a decade ago. I don't remember his name.
Loss is something we must learn to accept and move forward with, no matter how difficult it feels. Life is short, yet the pain we go through can feel very deep. Sometimes the only way to come out of that darkness is through patience, faith, and prayer — and prayer often goes deeper than the pain itself.
I have learned this through my own experience. I went through a major financial loss despite making significant gains at one point. Situations changed, circumstances turned against me, and what I had built was lost. The legal struggles that followed made the journey even heavier. But with time, I have realized that loss is not the end of the story — it is only a chapter in it.
As Khalil Gibran wrote,
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.”
Today, I look at the market again with a different mindset. My expectation is not driven by greed, but by belief that life can still turn in unexpected ways. I see potential opportunities ahead, and I hope for strong returns, even tenfold if destiny allows, especially through options trading — but this time with more caution, more discipline, and more trust in God than in luck.
In the end, we do what we can, we take the risks we must, and we leave the rest to time. Life always has something stored for us, and only as things unfold do we understand why we had to go through the pain first.
I remember Susannah being active in the coffee threads among other threads.
It appears Jonah S. Ford was still alive at least as recently as 2020 per his 6 year ago reaction to a post at LinkedIn. It says he lived (lives) in Sedona, AZ. If you’re a member of LinkedIn (I’m not), you may be able to see more info about him than I can see.
Susan was Charles Pritchard (in NYC I think) per what I’ve seen posted here years ago. May he rest in peace. He was quite the character!
**Edit: The only Jonah S. Ford I could find publicly on internet is in AZ. It says he’s lived in many other locations including OR for 8 years. It says he’s only ~50. Could this be him? Fortunately, I found no obits under that name fwiw. Maybe he’s alive and well?
