For the purpose of clearing my roof of leaves to preserve the longevity of the roof without having to get on a ladder, I was looking at a device that has a brush that attaches to various combos of pole extensions that can get up to as long as 21 feet. This would allow one to clean their roof from the ground.

Has anyone used a device like this? How well did it work? TIA

Thanks, Mike!

Do you clean leaves off your roof? If so, do you get on a ladder and get up on it. I hope not as that would seem extremely dangerous!

I currently don’t and would never ever ever consider that. My health and safety is much more important than the health of my roof!!

Larry,

This is a wonderful point. We have 3 floors at our house. I clean the gutters with a ladder but only cleaned the top floor 1 time, 25+ years ago when we first moved here and I was only 45. We are surrounded by very tall, mature trees. We have gutter guards but decomposed leaves still got in.

So the 3rd floor gutters had all sorts of small trees growing out of them thru the gutter guards, much worse in the back. We finally hired somebody a year+ ago to clean those in the back and put on special gutter guards when they were having a big half price sale. It was $1,000. It killed me to pay that much but I could not bring myself to go up that high on our ladder(that actually just barely makes it high enough and should be at least a couple feet higher).
