Within the Declaration of Independence are words of indictment of King George:
"....He has refused his assent to laws. He has obstructed the administration of justice. He has made judges dependent on his will alone. He has kept among us, in times of peace, standing armies without the consent of our legislator. "

King George is best known for the guy that lost his colonies in the new world, reigning during the time frame when we gained our independence but Im not sure as many people know that he also lost his mind due to mental illness, which was marked by a final decade of progressive dementia.
